I've been a student of Great War aircraft for many years, I think you did a fine job presenting the Fokker D.VII. The algorithm knows what I like and, although a few months old, your video was just recommended. Thank you from a new subscriber.

@@jfu5222 thanks much for the support! I’m planning an eventual redux of the video which will hopefully be much better and far more thorough in its coverage, but that’s a long way out

This is the first video I've encountered that actually mentions Idflieg. Good job overall

Thank you! I'm trying to ensure the next is far better in regards to research and information provided, going to be very long however (in excess of 4 hours)

I enjoyed this very much, even though this era of planes is usually not one that interests me particularly. Deserves many more views!!

really good video man, excited to see you build one

Build a full scale replica sir. We have one flying here in Rhinebeck NY USA. It's awesome

Just a minor point but when referring to German WW1 aircraft, it is standard practice to use Roman Numerals. Hence VII is 7, IV is 4 etc. So the aircraft in this video was always the D7 and not the Dee Vee one one. Other than that, this was a great video. Thank you and keep them coming. And good luck in building the kit, that should be an interesting project.

Did I accidentally refer to it as vee I I? Just goes to show you should never record audio when tired

@@Wolfof1918 You did but you are forgiven if you were tired. Ha ha.

I believe Eric Loewnhardt didn't live to see the end of the war. KIA 10 Aug. 1918.
@ralphe58422 ай бұрын
No aircraft at that time could have change the course of the war. Germany had simply run out of resources and men and the air war was not as consequential to the outcome of World War One

Right, it was too little too late
@rperry70Ай бұрын
No aircraft from this era was capable of "turning the tide". Click bait to be sure. Bur no doubt, the later Fokker aircraft were revolutionary.
@Wolfof1918Ай бұрын
Considering the numbers and how it was treated post war it certainly was had it arrived much earlier. But it was too little too late in 1918 (or even 1917 for that matter)

I tried to watch but I couldn't put up with the illiteracy on display.
@Wolfof19182 ай бұрын
What illiteracy? I’m planning to redux this video with new information I’ve found in the German state archives so if you have other suggestions for fixes I could make that’d be greatly appreciated:)
