History of the Incas - ASMR Sleepy Story

This bedtime story takes us along lost trails of the Andes Mountains, to the discovery of several millenia of civilization in this region (Caral-Supe, the Valdivia culture, Chimu, Wari, Tiwanaku...), until the rise of the Inca Empire. I tell you about the history and culture of the Incas, as well as the development of their empire, from the small Kingdom of Cusco to one of the largest states in the world at the time of its splendor. We will also take a look at how the Spanish conquistadors brought it down so quickly, and for a different look at aspects of Inca culture, I take you to Machu Picchu and to the National Natural History Museum of Santiago, Chile @MNHNChile for a visit of the Niño del Cerro El Plomo, the centuries-old natural mummy of a young boy.

Yes! I'm Canadian, and last year for English my friend and I had to research a myth and we chose the Inuit myth of Sedna. It was so interesting and I was very surprised at the lack of information available. I'm super interested in Inuit legends, I'd love to see a video on it!!!

I have a correction to make. Early in the video you say that cradles of civilization in the old world existed in India, Mesopotamia, Egypt, and china. If by cradle you mean urbanized living then you got it right, but if you mean places where farming was invented it wasn’t quite right. Farming was invented in only 2 places in the old world. The first was the Fertile Crescent, which stretched the levant up to turkey and back down to Mesopotamia. The Indus Valley civilization didn’t invent farming, it was spread there from the crescent in the west. Same goes for Egypt, where is spread from across the Sinai. China invented agriculture independently, but the last one is actually in the New Guinea highlands. People don’t really talk about that one though, since no great urban civilization emerged there, and no great monuments were left for us to marvel at like the rest of the old world. you are completely correct in your statement about the new world however, complex urbanized societies developed alongside agriculture completely independently in the Andes and in Mesoamerica.

i was just on wikipedia for a half hour reading about the Native American history in my city 😢😢😢sooo much Native history lost, so many customs, traditions, religions, myths, that we will never know 🪴🐊🪔🎎🥺😔❤ we should be grateful for every tiny artifact and evidence we find from them and do our best to preserve it ❤🫖🏺 📜🛖⌛️🕰️📝
