It appears the reason why this crossing was closed is whatever there was of Oak Street on the other side of the crossing was ripped out so the crossing really wasn't needed anymore.

Fact: The Lincoln Street signal got a US&S Model 95 sometime between July of 2016 and May of 2018

I think the grade was also been taken off as well and every time when you see a BNSF over on Oak Street, he won't honk his horn. And also the new relay bungalow has been removed from Oak Street as well. This year

So how did the townspeople feel about their street being permanently closed? Seems a bit arbitrary, but perhaps there was little impact? Or did BNSF leave the bungalow in the belief the grade crossing would reopen?
