One detail, the Titans didn't take a break and relaunch like you say: instead it continued publishing two different issues each month, one for the delux title and one for the news-stand or standard edition. The standard edition was one year behind in continuity and it began reprinting the delux edition one year later. So for a period of one year, there were 2 new stories of Teen Titans each month, which is the opposite of taking a break. ;)

Honestly, this is about 50 years of history I'm going over. There's no way to do a "quick" summary.

Again, that's impossible, the only consistent trait is that its a team of (usually) teenage superheroes. The Teen Titans constantly changed, as did their traits, what they used, who they worked with and so on and so fourth, they're one of those Rare groups that can be and should be interpreted in a million and one ways. Like, just adding one member to the group changed the whole team dynamic and taking one member away too soon could ruin the whole group.

You should be able to get all the ones from the new 52 (2011-now) pretty easily. Really, I would recommend going to your local comic book store and seeing what they can order in for you, if you don't know where your local comic book store is, if you live in the US and Canada you can use the Diamond Previews website. When it comes to the 1980s Teen Titans, they have been re-printed in compilations time and time again, and it's the same with the silver age teen titans.
