History of the Venezuelan Jews. 50 Anniversary of the Israelite Union of Caracas

The documentary film It Wa Worth it, was prepared by the team that conducted the research for the History of the Jewish Community in Venezuela. This project was undertaken on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Union Israelita de Caracas (UIC), to pay homage to the pioneers of the Ashkenazi community in Venezuela.
The recollections of these men and women of great courage and value, supplemented occasionally by the descendants, were compiled as personal interviews. The memories recreate the characters who made history, and who deserve to be known.
As this stories unfold, depicting their lives vicissitudes throughout the years, the fil illustrates how they overcame language barriers despite economic hardship, manages to preserve their traditions and ultimately evolved into what they are today: a well adjusted social group integrated into the surrounding society that had extended an open welcome to them so many years ago.
