The capital of Turkmenistan is Ashgabat, which lies near the southern border with Iran, This Central Asian country is known for its rich and diverse culture, a nominally democratic government, and a subtropical desert climate, and its capital is Ashgabat and the first President of Turkmenistan is Saparmurat Niyazov (1991-2006) and the current President Turkmenistan is Serdar Berdimuhamedow (Since 2022).
