I feel this covers more Eurocentric history. I believe other civilizations have had some water sewage systems including the Indus River valley and Baghdad during the Umayyad empire thousand years or more before the Age of Enlightenment.

Very good video. However, the process you describe as the first wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is actually a purification process to treat natural water to produce potable water. It is not a WWTP. Cheers.

I used to be a wastewater treatment plant operator a long time ago. They still don't pay much, left the field to go make some money.
