I am US Army veteran, Nam era and really like your collection. My family have served all over the world. Marines, Navy and regular dudes like me. Your colection is impressive. I'm not sure that many here can separate it from the bad stuff but we were all "soldiers." I like the metal detection, it's all going rot away sooner than later. Thank you.

Hey Nick it's been a long time and I'm glad to see that you're putting out more videos about your collection. I just wanted to tell you that I for one appreciate how much you talk about what you have you are an expert and the people who view your videos like me are novices I do not know anything about that history and I want to hear you talk about it. Those viewers who don't want to hear you talk about it can watch something else. I asked that you do not allow the opinions of the viewers to alter or sway what you want to do on your site. You are the creator of this content on your channel and I tune in to hear you talk and teach and educate the world on what you have. I do not speak your language so I'm glad that you can translate and interpret things. I would especially like to see you out in the field digging through the soil like you used to do I know that there are reasons why you cannot travel we all know what the reasons are but I'm just saying that's what I especially enjoy is when you're out finding treasures from yesteryear. And I was wondering if you could just make a series ongoing about the things you have and talk ad nauseam about it if it's a thousand videos or 10,000 videos I will watch them all, as I have already seen every video you've ever made and they're all interesting. I guess that's the point people who want to learn and know and see what you have and what you've accomplished are going to tune in, and anybody else who is not interested she find something else to do and stop complaining. Have yourself a great year and get that metal detector out of the closet. Peace

Interesting thing to note, there were actually 3 manufacturers of M1 Helmet during the war McCord, Schlueter, and the rarest being Parish Reading which made a very small amount since their contract for helmets was very late into the war they only made about 60,000 helmets before the war ended

I am absolutely envious of your collection, the only ww2 related stuff I've found is through metal detecting, bullets, rusty spoons and a Polish bean can.I really hope to collect in the future stuff, mostly The iron Cross and ss peaked hats XD My priced procession may not be ww2 but it's even more fun,a Long Bayonnet sword that belonged to King George(the second)Royal Guard(Wilkinson 1809) The guy who had it died and this was in his warehouse,my grandfather took it,now I'm the one restoring this,on the wood there's a code and I may not be sure a kill count

I also collected WW2 German militaria. But for 18 years or so, it's in my closet collecting dust. Don't know if ever will display it again, or maybe sell it. I'm still a very big WW2 "buff", but my interest of collecting things have changed. My interest of collecting has shifted from WW2 German militaria, to antique silver. But nevertheless, i have a oppertunity to buy aa original MP-40 . That's the one weapon i always wanted to own , like virtually every WW2 collector. So maybe that will be something worth to consider buying. By the way, i loved that mysterious story about the belt with the "Matt" initials . About the "strange thing" that happens like the self opening door, i have heard quite often that deceased people who were attached to certiant belongings can stay attached to that same item. So maybe you have a certaint item, that a deceased soldier was attached to. So were that item goes, the spirit of that soldier will also go. So that can be the explanation with the self opening door. I have one strange thing to tell you regarding this issue. When i'm watching a WW2 documentairy about the war from the German perspective, sometimes when you see "Germany home front footage" they also sometimes play a German WW2 radio song to give it even more the WW2 "vibe". And often when that part of the documantary being played with the music (believe it or not) i immediately smell a mixture of army textile and leather, weapon oil, and sigar smoke in my computer room. Can you imagine that? And i've got all my WW2 stuff in the other room, and i don't even own WW2 uniforms or weapon oil, and i also dont smoke sigars (and neither my girlfriend does). So this is what i have experienced quite a few times. I know most people will think i'm joking, but i'm not.

The 30th Infantry Division jacket caught my attention immediately. I was in the North Carolina National Guard and my unit was part of the 30th Infantry Brigade. I was in both C Company 1/120 th Infantry and also A Company 1/119th Infantry. So, the history of that Division is always interesting to me. I have a World War 1 30th Division shoulder patch and several variations of the World War 2 30th Infantry Division shoulder patches. Plus original 30th Infantry Division Unit history book from 1946 and the 1946 editions of the Unit history books for the 117th Infantry Regiment, 119th Infantry Regiment, and the 120th Infantry Regiment.

Wow, that's amazing!!! Then you are going to like the next part too! I will show more WW2 old hickory items! I have a nice WW2 m1 helmet with decals of the 30th Div 120th Rgt! The town where I live was liberated by the 30th Division, regiment 119 and 120 back in September 1944! So it's a very special division for me.. I met a lot of veterans, and have helmets signed with their names! Thanks for sharing that information, that's really interesting, and respect for your service!
