I guess Hamas' strategy of using civilian structures like hospitals, schools, mosques, apartments, etc as military bases has paid off. Their strategy of making sure as many civilians are killed as possible has paid off. So they will continue to ensure as many civilians as possible are killed. Hamas leaders have even stated that they need the blood of Palestinians to be spilled, especially of the elderly, women, and children. Just one reason they didn't bother to make any bomb shelters for Gazans when they were building mile after mile of terror tunnels, which only Hamas members can use. Demanding a ceasefire is to expect Hamas to continue to rule, as they were before October 7. This has already happened 5 times in the past and the results were catastrophic. The UK should have demanded, the unconditional surrender of Hamas and the return of all the hostages.
