No matter how what you think about this show what is becoming clear is that people who watch this show are growing tired of the "dragging it out" feeling to this show. Extending the season out for ratings. Not counting the first couple of seasons when they were just exploring the 10x hole, the seasons where they have been digging the season was still shorter. Now the show is going into april? As they constantly say during their commercials for this show "the number one rated cable TV show". Either there is something there or not, the places to keep digging are running out and so are the patience of those watching and eventually it will not be the "number one rated cable show".

Then if that is what you think, explain why over a dozen structures have been found in smiths cove, an elaborate network of flood tunnels that run under the whole island and at some point converge and lead to the money pit, and a barrage of crazy items found from extensive metal detecting sessions that have been performed on about all of the lots on oak island. These structures definitely served a unique purpose and were not placed in the spots as we see them today. What a tool!

They may have also unleashed trapped oxygen/carbon dioxide particles which could then be analyzed for proper dating. Traces of certain smoked tobacco plant particulates on the carbon dioxide can then be traced to the country of origin, thus giving an accurate time frame of the pit age.

Most logical solution, explorers and gold diggers would store gold found in America and then store it in the island. Then come back on other ships and take back to their homelands. Without being governed and without other pirates stealing their loot. Most likely would of come back with several ships to spread the plunder, safety and security making sure the full treasure wouldn't be sunk in the sea or stolen by other rouge pirates. Find loot, hide bury loot and come back in numbers! With a safe destination to dock on the other side of the world. It was probably a massive dodgy international organisation of corrupt sailors and gold diggers. Doubt they would leave anything there though, what's left is the infrastructure. Maybe this worked in the opposite direction with dodgy sailors leaving valuables stored and then docking in the states safely? then come back on other vessels and move the goods without being governed / having to declare goods etc. This way any ship be it explorers or traders or official ships, could be used as decoys to transport loot?

Have they ever discussed how the "designers" of the "booby traps" ever expected to retrieve the "treasure"? It doesn't make sence that any group of people would expend the time and effort that it would have taken to excavate all these "flood tunnels", and to bury something extremely valuable down there, without having any way to get it back out of the hole! There's a lot of "entertainment value" here, but that's about all ... a ripping yarn that will probably drag out for another decade.
