SFIV it's implied Cody is stronger than Oni or equal to when he's not holding back, "As long as you hold back, your destruction is assured." That might not mean much to what his canonical strength is, but just something to say.

Final Fight was my favorite of the Beat'em Up games when I was a kid barely edging out Bad Dudes. I gotta say that I hated Capcom making Cody an inmate, especially since he is the only real street fighter in the Street Fighter universe. Mostly everyone there is a strict martial artist or in some form of law enforcement, Cody was the orginal street fighter, brawler or Mixed Martial Artist (by that I mean using multiple martial arts style since he is a boxer, kickboxer, and karate stylist) that lived in actual slums and mostly fought in the streets instead of tournaments. Kinda makes you think of how the creators view individuals in urban American. By the way my vote is for Yoshimitsu

I like your opinion, but i think Cody had to be changed. The original Cody had a type of romance that doesn't really work that well when you think about it. I mean he was obsessed with getting rid of evil with his bare hands. Yeah, we are kind of in Bruce Wayne territory, but Cody's desire to rid the world of evil is kinda childish since he did grow up in the rough urban environment and became a Street Fighter instead of some gang member. Its okay to have a sense of justice no matter what type of upbringing you had. But it would of been better for Cody to stay in Metro city and busting a few heads or getting serious with Jessica. Instead he runs off into the sunset, leaving Jessica alone at the wrong time. Both are kind of at fought with each other since Jessica didn't have that good a reason to leave Cody in the first place. But besides that, Cody fits in better as a Street Fighter because of his current situation. I do however desire his story to continue with him finding some peace within himself and moving on with his life. And it could be done in Street Fighter 5 if the fans want him in the game and if Capcom is willing to do so.

I Love Cody so much! He's definitely one of my favorite Capcom characters! It's such a shame what happened to him, saves Metro City, and the woman he once loved, and in return he's wrongly accused and arrested losing the girl and heroic spirit. I Love Cody so much I created my own character that tries to help prove his innocence, while clearly falling for him I mean look at him! And helps him cope with the outside world when he is finally released. It's time for this tragic hero, to be a true hero again.
