Some moves in mk11 arent cannon like how kung lao uses the great kung lao spirits even though shang tsung still has his soul 2. We saw shang tsung take revants kung laos soul so if he took revant smokes soul it wouldn't be classic smoke it would be revanent one

Honestly, I hope Smoke returns as DLC in MK11. There have been a few leaks regarding him that support his return, but those can only be taken with a grain of salt. Though Ed Boon made some tweets relating to Smoke recently. Though they seem to be advertisements for Klassic Smoke being playable in MK Mobile, the fact he tweeted them himself might imply something. Maybe.

Ideally, I think Smoke could have the following three variations: 1) Master of smoke: gains abilities based on teleporting and turning into smoke 2) Typhomancer: gains abilities to create smoke constructs 3) Mist-erious: gains abilities based on emitting smoke from his self. His universal moves could be Smoke toward/away, Smoke ball, Shake, and Blast back. His fatal blow could be called something like smoke and mirrors. I don't know about his fatalities. He could have brutalities based on his uppercut and throw attacks, but I don't know what else. For his customization I'm thinking masks, arm bracers, and some kind of weapon(s) (smoke axe(s) or smoke chains). I don't know about his ending.

Big time. Their writers are getting really bad. They keep focusing on, "issues of the day" shall we say, instead of just writing a good game. I feel like the game with the most potential actually has a pretty weak story, and that is MK11. Time travel opened up a continuous flow of character possibilities from any installment, but they keep screwing something that simple up with additions like Joker. He's great, dgmw. He shouldn't be there, not when game specific legacy characters are getting passed on for both new characters, and those darn guest ones that are just low hanging fruit, whatever movie is up next, adverts from WB. Thats what guest characters are, a way to tie a reboot for a movie IP WB has floating around they want to double dip on. Face it, its their corporate sponsorship program, and we lap it right up.

I remember that Taven did defeat Blaze in Mortal Kombat Armageddon in the Original Timeline until in Mortal Kombat 9 it was retconned and it was revealed that he lost against Blaze and killed by him and Shao Khan defeated Blaze and got the power of Blaze for himself and then killed Dark Raiden while he sent a message to his past self and that’s when we see the New Timeline.

In the original timeline, Kuia Liang did not hold a grudge against Scorpion nearly so strongly as in the jacked up timeline. Bi-Han had been very traditional, whereas Kuia Liang had been very much more modern, a point of disagreement for them. The official MKII comic that was the storyline (as shown in the gamebook) showed Sub Zero joining the tournament to eliminate Shang Tsung for the Lin Kuie on orders. Cyber Initiative wasn't seen or mentioned until MK3. So Kuia Liang actually didn't have that harsh a feelings toward Scorpion.

Smoke is my all time favorite character from MK. Ever since he popped up in MK2 behind the trees in the living forced I thought he would be so cool and finally playing as Cyber Smoke when MK3 came out blew my mind . MK9 made me so happy by giving his character some much needed growth and that’s why in MKX and 11 it makes me so sad that he hasn’t really done anything . I think that there is a great potential story for Sub Zero and Smoke with Sub Zero actually trying to save his best friend . It always rubbed me the wrong way that he never tried to save him, even being mentioned by Noob in intro dialogue. It’s like it your worried about Him go save him Damnit!

It's crazy to think about how much backstory these characters have now. Back when I was a kid playing MK1-3 I thought they were all just reskins of the same sprite. Only recently have I fallen down the rabbit hole of the lore. This is partly because the last title I played in the series was Armageddon, after which I got an Xbox 360 (later moving to PC gaming) and couldn't play/lost interest in the newer MK titles. Recently I purchased MK11, and man it scratches that familiar itch I had forgotten I had. Other arcade fighters just aren't the same to me.

Smoke does have a cameo in MK11, when you choose to play as Shang Tsung you do a block and then you will see that he looks like smoke from MK2.

My theory is that after MKX, After killing Shinnok, Dark Raiden goes to the Netherrealm to warn the revenants that he will no longer simply defend Earthrealm and destroy all who threaten it, after that Raiden proceeds to kill a couple of the revenants including Smoke/Enenra and Kurtis Stryker which explains why we never saw them in MK11 and the Aftermath story expansion.
