It’s also nice to see Sindel finally looking like her daughters for once! And even Mileena and Kitana looking alike, I know they’re twins in this game and in the beginning of the story Mileena hasn’t got Tarkat disease yet. But even in previous games like MK11, MKX & MK9 Mileena didn’t look very much like Kitana despite being her clone, I know the mouth was completely different but the rest of her face didn’t look similar. In fact Kitana and Jade looked more like twins/clones especially in MK9 (not in MK11) just with different shade of skin colour.

It would make sense for general Shao to be the son of the Dragon King, as wasn't he half dragon in the old games, and seen as we took over when the dragon king was gone or he killed him, it would make sense that his father was a letdown to him in some way, and maybe he killed Onaga... He was onaga's advisor and general and protector of outworld but then he betrayed onaga and poisoned him and then shao became emperor and conqueror of outworld and the title Kahn was made by Shao. And then he recruited many strongest outworlders like tarkatans, shokan and tigra and centaurian like gorbek, goro, sheeva, kintaro and motaro. Then baraka. Of course orphan street rats like reiko and kotal. And then recruiting earthrealmers like shang tsung who was being exiled by the elder gods for breaking the rules of mortal kombat and stripping his championship title and shao has his advantage of teaching shang dark sorcery. And turn shang into shao kahn's advisor like he was also an advisor to onaga

Keeping the tournament around as a friendly competition between the realms allows for the opportunity to bring together all his old friends and allies under less dire circumstances. Had things not gotten twisted, that would still remain to be the case.

Y'all notice how there seems to be a lot of dragon stuff in the game so far? General Shao has more dragon like features, him, Reiko, and Goro have that dragon symbol on their armors. The Shokan are like close to a dragon now that we see them again. Liu Kangs fatal blow has that dragon symbol behind him and it does like a growl. The Undead Army that leads to Onaga giving hints about him multiple times throughout the trailers.

Geras told liu kang that his new time line is already flawed! At the end of the previous game Raiden told liu kang that he must choose a partner to rewrite the timeline. Liu kang instantly chose Kitana..if you look at Raiden face you can sense slight disappointment. Liu kang also approached Kung Lao & chose him as earth realm champion. I believe that the correct timeline consist of Liu kang & Raiden being elder gods. Fujin as the protector of earth realm with Kung Lao being the chosen champion.

Or I got one general shao probably was adopted he didn't know The dragon King is his father because did they say in the backstory his father is the one that bought the dragon king and put them away so he probably found him he was a baby and took him in cuz look what they said in his bio how he looks and if you take a good look at him he kind of does look like the dragon-king with the horns cuz he never had horns in the other Mortal Kombat games and also if you hear his dialogue he's hell-bent trying to bring back the dragon King in the other timelines he didn't care for the dragon King and that's why he wants to take over out world because it's in his blood that's why he's acting like that and general shao doesn't know the dragon king is his father but I think he's going to play on important role in the future to bring him back just a theory

Honestly, this is probably Shao's most intimidating design and his coolest, fkn yes haha. Sindel though, she looks broken which is fine, I'd rather characters needing nerfs rather than others needing buffs so she can be balanced, her design is something completely different. I might be part of the minority but MK11's Sindel, yes they completely ruined her character, but she was significantly more attractive, significantly. Like she was a 10 in that game, the only attractive female in MK11 at all. Such a disappointment for real. I'm still waiting for the gorgeous woman representation in this game, Nitara is the last hope.

Sindel is average, Kitana and Mileena look like lady boys, Tanya is a bush pig, Sareena doesn't hold a candle to her MKX appearance, Ashrah doesn't look as good as Deception, Sonya is still her MK11 uggo self. So where's the hot one again? I see a whole bunch of women and gay men ready to rub one out to Reptile, Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Unmasked Smoke, Darrius, but not a single straight guy is saying anything about how hot any of them are, nobody's gushing. Sindel in MK11 had that quality and was the only one. Kitana wasn't even in the game, just some race swapped BS that no longer looked like her mother. MK4/MKX Kitana - Arabian, MK11 -Asian for no reason and average.

As beautiful as MK1 looks, MK11 is peak character design for me
