Flemish volunteers for Germany (Oostfronters) served in the Flemish Legion, the NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps), the OT (Organisation Todt) and the Flemish Waffen-SS during the German occupation of Belgium. They were part of the Belgian collaboration during World War II. During the German invasion of Belgium (1940) the country was taken over by the Third Reich. Different Belgian fascist parties - such as VNV and Rex - were willing to collaborate with the Germans. When Germany invaded the Soviet Union Flemish volunteers were in need for the Eastern Front.
