Things to keep in mind is that Magic Bounce will not bounce back the spikes since its an attacking move, and there is currently no type of immunity to dark type moves, also there are no types or abilities that grants immunities to rock as well so this also applies to stone axe

Yeah, the Flying-, Rock-, and Dark-types are the only three types that can hit all Pokémon regardless of type immunities and Abilities

hisuian samurott was my "don't make the starter bipedal" moment I am ok the way it is and was so worried when I heard that there might be hisuian starter forms that they were going to just make it look like another lucario clone. this is a good form

Agreed. It's almost as if it gets the look of a Samurai's horse and armor in one design. It makes it look intimidating and badass without turning it into a person. I hope he stays mainly quadrupedal (I don't mind if he temporarily shifts to standing up like IRL otters and bears to reach for objects, but for the most part he should be on four legs).

I prefer the original Samurott's color scheme, but Hisuian's shiny fixes that problem by turning the black armor into white. It's not gold, but I'll take it.

Even more spammable than Stone Axe, considering each consecutive hit adds more spikes. Even if Great Tusk switches in to spin or kill with CC, it's still threatened by Samurott's water moves. Talk about a glow up.

Samurott is actually a facultative biped, it can walk on both 2 and 4 whenever it wants but it prefers walking on 4 because standing up is only for battles

As a day one samurott fan, I was so happy for hisuian samurott. While people were foaming in the mouth over typhlosion, I noticed the similarities between its signature move and entry hazard moves in Legends: Arceus. I knew it was going to be big in the meta. Sad that kleavor didn't get the same treatment.

Why is it bad exactly? Some of the most beloved starters are bipedal (Charizard, Blastoise, Typhlosion, Blaziken, Sceptile, etc.). The problem with new starter designs isn't that they are bipedal, but rather because they don't look like believable creatures that would exist in the wild but rather people wearing suits which are meant to be as marketable as possible

Pretty soon there will be a 120 base power move that set’s up rocks, spikes, and webs, sets up reflect and light screen, clears all stat changes of your opponent, and has a chance to boost your attack. Oh don’t worry though, it will only have 95% accuracy.

To be fair, while powercreep from recent gens is no joke, the reason for Ceaseless Edge being this strong is that in PLA it did splinter damage, a mechanic that doesn't exist in SV. So upon transferring it to SV, the splinters became spikes, which was a huge upgrade. Also, abilities don't exist in Legends Arceus either, so Hisuian Samurott didn't have sharpness and this move stayed at 65 base power.
