2022 was the hardest year of my life. , My grandpa died, my aunt died, my best friend was hospitalized and almost died, my wedding was called off, lost my career job, and lost my house, my ex slept with one of my good friends after we called off the wedding. I have been looking forward to this album. The first time I heard this song it brought me to tears. I'm happy I can see your reaction to it.

So losing Jamal was half of the story, two days before he passed, Cherry was diagnosed with cancer (while pregnant), and at the time it was thought to be worse than it turned out to be. Talk about all the emotions that had to be flowing in that time of his life. Subtract was mostly written during that time, so I am not sure we will get the bangers with this one, but that's the beauty of what Ed does, we feel what he is feeling, relate to it, and his release makes us feel better at the same time. This guy is truly a generational talent!
