Right now, where I live, showing bra straps is very fashionable! Tops are made to show the straps and the arm holes are very large so you can show the side of your bra. They sell lovely lace bralettes in all sorts of bright colors. I love the trend and I agree with you that we are adult women and everyone knows we wear bras. Why be ashamed of them?

I'm actually happy that they didn't offer a bunch of warm toned shades. Every pallet release lately is warm tones and cool tones take a backseat. I love mauves and taupes and it's much more user friendly (I think anyway) for clients that are intimidated by makeup. So this looks like an inexpensive starter pallet I can recommend! Thanks ✌️

Thanks Emily! After I hit enter I wondered if I sounded too grumpy. Also, came to my mind that the new Milani palettes are $19.99 each so the cost really isn't that bad. The only thing is that the face products should be larger pans just to accommodate the required brushes. Great video - always good to see you blend plums and pinks into a warmer look.

Hell yes on the yay for the cool tones. We've been a little let down for choice for quite a while now (I can't even wear a lot of so-called neutral colours, they're too warm for my skin), so I for one am glad to see there's plenty there for us on the cool end of the spectrum! And I certainly don't mind paying around $20 and getting a palette where I can wear EVERY colour!!

The my must haves pallettes came out around last fall in europe. I have an eight pan palette. Essence had an limited edition for their birthday celebration. The palette case has little pink beets that move around when you shake it. I picked up 2 blushes and 5 eyeshadows. And I really love the shadows 06 celebrate good times (a lilac shadow with a blue shine) and 12 want a mint? (A light green that looks golden when light hits it). And I Think I need to check out Cotton candy.

The quality of Essence's single eyeshadows is SOOOO much better than the quality of their palettes. I have quite a few of their "the velvet" mattes that are amazingly pigmented & blendable.

Bibi Maizoon I got a collection at the Holiday time and they're all powdery and not at all pigmented. What shades do you have if you don't mind mentioning one or 2 of them? I have white, grey, L. Blue, toupe, d. Brown, pink, mauve , and I can't remember any more without looking. But they're very very NOT pigmented and I heard great things about the individual Velvets from Essence.

I have Mr Mocca-Bean, You're the Greytest, You Better Mauve, Taupe Secret, and Smooth Caramel- all are quite pigmented witha little fallout that is easily brushed away but very little kick up in the pan.

I am more willing to try this *because* of the cooler colors! I am a cool toned gal and most warm colors make me look sick. The constant barrage of warm palettes has been frustrating. One upside: I'm saving tons of money not buying palettes!

I made a quad a few weeks ago and really like it. Seeing that the majority were cool toned was a plus for me! Nothing unique, but I got 09 Chilli Vanilli, 05 Cotton Candy, 02 All I Need and 15 Have a N’Ice Day. Didn’t see the blush and face powders, but I could have overlooked them. For the price, these really aren’t bad at all!

Thank You for staying true to your roots and continuing to review affordable products! I reviewed this on my channel a couple weeks ago and my asessment was essentially the same as yours. Even thought this wasn't perfect I love the idea of choosing your own affordable shadows to create your own palette and they will be adding more color choices in the future. They stopped carrying essence at Target which is sad but if you can find the brand at a place other than Ulta (I get mine at Christmas Tree Shop but they are other places too) there is a line of shadows called The Metals that is nice and also a line called The Velvets. I think you would enjoy playing with these as well. They've also got new lipliners that are nice and more. Do you still have Cupcake? Would love to see her come on and say hello some day. xoxo Deb

I did this months ago with the four Eyeshadows to make a dupe for Kat Von D Alchemist- The white duochrome single shadows in Snowflake, ice mint, the blue and cotton candy Stunning as shadow or face highlight!!

Yes they actually stick in a z Palette... take a pointy ended knife ( i used an xacto knife) and pop it out of the plastic... kind of Scary but it worked ... at least the German ones were slightly magnetic enough to Stick to the z Palette

never thought I would be into contouring until I got the HUGE Essence Bronzer, the mini Becca highlighter and blush in Coral by Essence. Since then I do contouring everytime I wear makeup. I am loving beautiful glowy as a shiny star highlighters. LOL My favourite is by Precious Petals by Wet N Wild.

Apricotta (10) and Snowflake (13) are INCREDIBLE highlighters that are available in that size for the palette. They're considered eyeshadows, but snowflake is my all time favorite highlighter.

I really love when you tell us what shade you are in everything. It's really helpful for me especially because it may not look like it from my little picture bc of the highlights I had when that was taken, but we have almost the exact same skin tone, hair, and brow colour and even skin type. So, every time you tell me what product or shade you are it always matches me. I also use cool toned darker brown brow colours because we have the same hair and brow colour. I'm also exactly 5-foot nothin' so we're both pretty damn short. Other than those things we look nothing alike though. I have blue eyes and stuff like that. Well, no shit! We're different people lol! Anyways, this is starting to sound really freaking creepy and weird! The point is, I'm SUPER lucky to have a KZbinr I actually trust that has all that in common with me so I know exactly what colours to buy. The Viseart is to be applied with a brush (They are makeup artists so hygiene is a big deal). So needs layering if you like a more than a fine layer.

You should try the Essence color Intensifying eyeshadow primer! I’ve been loving it. It’s creamy and gives a nice tone that cancels out any discoloration. My shadows really last on it. I actually like it over my Milani and/or Mac Paint Pot! 😘

I saw that online and was intrigued. I do this with a z-palette already though, so I think maybe picking up a single as I need it and depotting it would be a better choice for me. They look to be pretty good quality for the price and easy to use when you're really groggy.

Love that lip color on you! And at first I thought it was the broadway lipstick you raved about in another video. But I think this one is actually a touch cooler. I like the idea of a customizable palette! I'd probably get more use out of a 4-pan. I'd put in a blush, a highlight, and two eye shadows. Or maybe two blushes instead and one eyeshadow since I like to wear blush on my eyes and am more likely to switch that up on a day-to-day basis

A few months back I was on the hunt for a cheap mauvy single, because I ran out of the one in the Naked 3 palette, so I got Mauvy Time and at the time I considered buying one of those palettes, but I just couldn't visualise a good combination of shades to fill it up with, but I think I'll reconsider.

ELF used to have a make your own pallete. There were four pan empty palletes that included a mirror and one of those sponge applicators. The shadows were good too. The plus was that it was magnetic, and the Urban Decay and MAC singles fit in the pallete. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of it.

Hi Emily, this palette was launched in Australia just over 6 months ago. I purchased the the 4 and 8 palette. Eyes shadow colors I chose are: black as a berry, raspberry frosting, celebrate good times, cotton candy, apricotta and peach party. I'm not sure if the bronzers and highlighters will be launched here in Australia.

Snowflake and apricotta make excellent highlighters for people with fair skin! I did once get a crappy quality apricotta but I repurchased and it was smooth and gorgeous.
