Damn, which city did Colin sing with them in?! I saw them in Boston on the last day of the tour and had never really been into them before aside from hearing Bodybag and was blown away by their set. Currently obsessed with their 2015 album as a result.

Regardless who is singing now, hit the lights still kicks more ass than a Bunch of up and coming bands that are on the market now. Colin was good, but its good to see Nick up there since he was the in the original band. And the new guitarist they got who took Nick's spot is good too, so it works. I like the writing style now between the new 5 of them. Just downloaded Coast to Coast, I recommend it to you all!

this set is perfect. tone, speed, ambiance, stage presence, but the best part, at least in my opinion, are the vocal harmonies flawless. very few bands now a days can still pull that off

This is absolutely classic. Colin really did make the band what they are today, but I have to say that Nick has carried the torch nicely. I don't think he's as vocally talented as Colin, but he's done his job. This is the only band, that I truly feel has "progressed" throughout the years. Most people use "progress" to cover up the fact a band put out a shitty album, but HTL has gotten better through the years. Through a new lead singer and all. HTL for life. BTW, I love Omar's fro. Haha

I love Nick's vocals for their later discography but Colin's Vocals just hit different especially when we talk about the 1st album. It just sounds right. That Being said Nick is still amazing at what he is doing.#kylemaiteforever

when Colin left, that's when they died for me... then again, I knew the guys when they were still playing bowling alleys in Michigan and people thought hit the lights was me telling them to literally turn the lights off. When they played at Michigan State, they gave us a shout out cause we always hung out after the shows. Those were better days.

@PunkRawk90sStyle I never knew the broke up, I was kinda only along for Chelsea Dagger. I'm kinda a poser from that aspect, but oh well. Well, we're going to probably play in D standard. And breakdowns aren't going to be overused. We have very different songs. Jason Mraz type acoustic songs, a Bowling For Soup like punk song, There For Tomorrow serious kind of song w/ a solo, and a pretty upbeat trashy song like What The Hell Is A Gigawatt by FYS. So I dig the variety a lot more.

I loved The Old School Hit The Lights Members. More Solid Punk Sound, although nick is a pretty talented lad. He has really good vocals but has brought the band more into the POP punk scene.

@PunkRawk90sStyle Yeah. But I think they were less gay than the avg. pop punk to begin with. Like "If I Were In Your Shoes" isn't so much pop punk as it is alternative. But besides the point, indie will always be awesome, and I love The Fratellis. Dude! Same here, my band started off pop punk and we got to the point "this is gay" and now we're experimental because we have nice acoustic stuff, serious eletric songs, and breakdowns (we have planned). It's a lot more satisfying, I agree 100%.

ATL I was a fanboy for a while, got out of it, they play good live imo-but I know they've blown up to be way too big now. It also seems like they were trying to give people too much of a Blink 182 experience whilst they were still broken up. But yeah, Pop Punk is so gay, it's easy as HELL to right as well. I could make a full length EPs worth of pop punk guitars in 1 day.
