Nice to know it is common to be inconsistent… I am learning how to balance, other day I could handle almost 30 seconds in balance but my kick-ups are so random 😆. Love your videos, was a great discovery ♥️

la parada de manos se a vuelto un lindo misterio por resolver, concuerdo con que a veces cuando haces algunas paradas de manos mas dificiles ayudan un poco con tu base inicial. gracias por compartir sus experiencias.

Since I started training for the press to handstand, my kickup consistency has improved a lot. I cannot do a press to handstand yet, but after practicing it for a while, I got to the point where I can use momentum for 80% of the entry, and then I press the remain 20%. Having this (very basic) strength, allows you to hit almost 100% of the kickups

I agree with the thing about strong consistent kick ups entries comes from having a strong resting position handstand in general. I have mostly done the resting position handstand near the wall and freestanding sometimes by near the wall i mean i dont even rest on it anymore by that i mean the wall and it got me the other entries tuck ups presses for free. Because my kick up style is a half mixture between a small degree forward lean press and some degree momentum kick up swinging up the leg

My kick up , sucks being 11 month , The balance was happening well in the middle and the kick-up too, but I do not know what happens, my kick-up does not happen again.Kick up and balance is right from 3 to 4 days, still know why everything gets messed up Just held the handstand well in January, was able to superset 3x3 by doing 30 sec,Then I felt that now I have got the handstand, because kickup and balance was happening in the first try since 3 days,Then I increased the volume, but slowly my kick up started deteriorating again and now I am not able to do the right kick up again,In every 1, 2 months I have been on the same firststion treatment,Sometimes I feel that I should give up, but after coming this far, if I give up, then my hard work will go in vain, that is why I am practicing that even today will be tomorrow.

Super indeed, Im already on this stage, able to hold and feel kinda easy a Handstand but the entry is so difficult. I remember when I cried of frustration by just doing entrys and entrys and just getting more tired and tired. Thanks so mucho for the advice.

Thanks for the video! I had the same 'journey' in the sense of not practicing kickups specifically, yet I improved along with the HS improvement (I can hold 1 min now). However, I want to mention how greatly my success rate (and types of entries) increased with flexibility and pressing to HS, which allowed way less travel of my kicking leg: almost like a little push from a standing split position. Still so much work to do but flexibility work was definitely key for me. :)
