There is nothing better than chasing a buck for years and finally taking the shot. I find myself now thinking after I take the shot " what if I would have given him one more year " lol. Love your videos I love learning how other people chase big bucks. Hopefully one day I will have time to attend one of your workshops.

Awesome video brotha, as i find myself in the last phase of hunting you speak of i find that it doesn't even matter anymore if i get that big buck or not. It really is about just being there and sharing the same space with something that wild that i used to refer to as ghosts lol. Here's to living your best life brotha 🍻

Few years ago I hunted a huge 3×3 all season trying to get him out of the herd. Finally got him killed. His lower lip had been cut badly in the past. Right front hoof was disfigured and toes crossed. Right rear hoof had been cut nearly off. He'd healed nicely. Over 180 lbs dressed. Figure he was hit by a mower as a fawn. Made a great. Looking European mount. 7-8 years old is what the biologist said.

Great shirt! Can't afford to go hunting riding around on this Biden fuel$$$ . Any which way and then I believe next step after one particular Buck is to began mentoring and stewarding younger hunters and bringing more people into hunting.( other than when I shot my first deer) the mentoring period is my favorite part!👍👍

Dan, where has Joe Rentmeester been? Would be nice to see more videos with the two of you together. Did Joe shoot a buck this year? I was pretty bummed when I saw he had to leave the public land challenge this fall.

Joe told me he don't like being in the public eye and on the videos. He says he gets his hunting areas invaded. I get that... It happens to me to. But I don't want to push him if he don't want to be on...

Hey Dan. Where is the link to your hill country seminar?
@thehuntingbeast2 жыл бұрын
A lot of people have been asking for a hill country workshop. We have one for you this year. This one will take place in Trempealeau County in Western Wisconsin on private ground. Its an area that dont have a ton of big bucks, but good ones get shot annually. We will look at some bedding and set ups, talk about wind and thermals, and some hunts that have taken place there. The event will start and end at Trophy adventures bear bait and archery supply shop. Should be a great time, with some great discussions. This workshop is limited to the 1st 25 people who sign up. We can go a little over if the last persons signing up are a group that exceeds the number, but as soon as we hit or exceed 25 it will be closed. I will be joined by a couple very knowledgeable & successful hunters who hunt these areas as well ( Jared Archer, & Eric Huseboe ) We will learn where, when, and how the bucks bed on the properties, discuss why they bed where they do, what winds, how to access the property in relation to the beds, exactly where and how to set up. You will look at actual set ups, the buck beds, and discuss in detail everything pertinent. We will look at different kinds of buck bedding including looking at primary beds. We will look at identifiable land features that promote bedding and discuss how to recognize them when looking at new land. We will look at how set up in very close proximity to bedded bucks, and how to speed scout large properties. No questions will be left unanswered. We stop and have discussions frequently encouraging questions. We will cover lots of ground.. The terrain can be thick or muddy, Rubber boots, a change of clothes, in case you get wet/muddy and being in good enough shape to walk long distances is recommended. All guests will have to sign a release stating they are responsible for there own safety. Rain or Shine Cost will be $280 per person. I want it affordable and I think this price is affordable and well worth that amount. There will be a meal waiting for us when we get out of the woods. Where we can chat one on one... I won't leave till everyone's questions are answered. Pm me to confirm this date. I will send out addresses and maps to confirmed attendees at a later point. This is a 1 day event. We are only planning 2 groups. For now we have openings on both days, Saturdays always fill fastest. Once the dates are full we are not doing anymore this year. You can choose between March 19th Saturday or March 20th Sunday ***my email address is in the video description below the video* **

Curious what diet you did to lose that weight. Had a heart attack 2 years ago. Tired of eating chicken.

I gave up all soda and sugary snacks. I drink mostly water now, and have a healthy snack in the morning like an apple or a small salad. Then in the evening I have one meal where I eat whatever I want.

@@jamesschroeder969 More people need to stand up and call B.S. when our politicians both D's and R's are getting rich by screwing the people who put em there. Wearing a shirt to support those who do things right, or to call out those who do it wrong is what I do, on or off the camera. I would never in my life go to someone elses platform and try to push them to be someone other than whom they are... Love me or hate me, I love America and aint about to change.
@jamesschroeder9692 жыл бұрын
I'm not pushing you to do anything bud. I love America also and as far as I'm concerned both parties suck. I think we should go back to bumper stickers and call in radio gripes. All we can do is vote. If you vote you have the right to complain all you want. Everywhere I go these days it's politics politics politics. They need to spend that energy where it belongs. Where the sun don't shine. If it was up there they would have no problem finding it? But your videos are really well done.

My suburb ass loves deer hunting but can’t stand stupid ass stereotypes and bullshit politics that is separating Americans. Don’t connect that shit with hunting cause your giving the pastime a bad name. I can’t stand country music and cowboy boots. Super uncool in my opinion. Can I still love deer hunting? Yes I can because this is America
@thehuntingbeast2 жыл бұрын
I can't stand politics either and hate that Politicians (especially the Liberals) are doing to divide this country. Its sad, that people can't see they are being played. I son't know how Im giving hunting a bad name? I never mention politics, I just occasionally wear shirts that point out the corrupt elites... If you don't like that I love my country and like to wear funny shirts you don't have to watch, this is a free country, for now anyway...
