@Thai-ed up in Chiang Mai I was very surprised when they asked for money to buy the yellow robes they were wearing. They tried to ask for money because they saw that there were foreigners.

Hi Rose and Dave, been moving house so been busy and missed your last few posts very upset about this one, the Monk who asked for money was wrong and very disrespectful especially after you were kind enough to give them a lift, i have only ever seen monks who are kind and respectable and who would never try to take advantage of a kind couple like you, i wonder if they were real Monks

@@TravelsWithRose i moved from an apartment into a retirement bungalow, it is so close to my old place it has the same postcode! i am hoping to look at a place in Thailand during my next trip, i am not sure about where though, i really love Isaan and Udon Thani would be a great place to live but i have a great many friends in Pattaya and a lot of my fishing friends are there too, not easy to decide🙂🙂🙂

@tonymattsews2344 I hope you are happy with your new home☺️ and I think you will like Udon because it is a big city, it is convenient for foreigners to live there, there are restaurants, bars, of course there are many foreign foods for you to choose (if you are tired of eating Thai food😁). You can come to Pattaya to find friends on vacation, find time to fish with your close friends, it would be great. Waiting to hear news from you the day you move to Thailand☺️

I wrongly assumed all Monks were very religious and 'monk like'... until i stayed a few days in a monastery and lots of them were very badly behaved...even the young monks were up all night playing loud video games and playing up etc i will never stay in a monastery again, let alone pay for the privilege and certainly wouldnt pay to give them a ride lol
