A very good analysis of the movie scene(s), that is, the tennis scene with Farley Granger as Guy Haines, and the retrieval of the lighter by Bruno Anthony as played by Robert Walker.

It's the wooden delivery -- butI assume they're students, not professionals, so i give them a pass.

At 2:13 Bruno drags a maintains man to the drain and says this word, 'my, my cigarette case is down there', But it not his 'case' it's his lighter, I wonder if no on realized he said the wrong thing or they just didn't want to shot it again for on word.

Ok here's something that I thought about while watching Strangers on a Train again yesterday. So Guy needs to get out of his tennis match quickly and tries to make fast work of his opponent. Then his opponent comes out and mounts a comeback. But if he REALLY wanted to get out of there quickly then why would he not just lose on purpose and take off? LOL!

I think that would draw unwanted attention to himself. People would want to analyze what went wrong, what was going on with him. And people would begin to watch him in a different way.

Not only would that attract attention, but I think it speaks to his character. Guy at his core cares more about winning than he does about doing what's right.
