Wow. Your video makes this job appear way easier than it really is. My headliner is nowhere near as flexible as the one on the car you're working on. Maybe because I have the solar roof panel, but I'm going to have to remove the C-Pillar trim to get access.

Thank you for the great video !!!!! It worked ! Finally solved our "Loading" and "No Signal" errors on our 2012 Toyota Prius with the satellite radio. Start by replacing this antenna base ! I originally began with customer support at Sirius XM by sending a new signal, then replaced the entire radio unit from the dash with a refurb model to no avail. Nothing worked. Ultimately, I found this KZbin video that it could be the antenna as there are electronic components in the base. The based can be purchased from this gentlemen or I found it on Amazon for $130. Takes about 20 mins to replace. It worked !

Hello. So you was able to get that socket up in there to the nut without any special extensions or wrenches? Wow I’m trying to do that now and I don’t have enough clearance to reach it.

Jarrett I had to get a long 22mm wrench to get in there. I think the wrench is about 14 inches long.

what is the part number?I have 2011 Prius.The antenna does work intermittently in high signal area.Can I open it and checks contacts?

Watch the video. The problem isn’t with the contacts. The electronics get too hot in the sun and start to fail. You need to replace the electronics by swapping out this base.

Please contact your Toyota Parts dealership and give them your Vin Number in order to get the correct part number.

FYI- This is not a GPS antenna! The GPS has two plugs not one.
