According to another documentary, Hitler, did, indeed, admit defeat following General Paulus’ surrender, but he swore to fight to the last.

Oberst (German pronunciation: [ˈoːbɐst] ⓘ) is a senior field officer rank in several German-speaking and Scandinavian countries, equivalent to Colonel.[1] It is currently used by both the ground and air forces of Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, and Norway. The Swedish rank överste is a direct translation, as are the Finnish rank eversti and the Icelandic rank ofursti.

The most distturbing thing is why GB and France declair war to Germany who invades Poland but didn't declare war to Russia that also invades Poland. ...
@lylarose26962 ай бұрын
Because both France and Britain knew, that eventually Hitler would attack Russia. The only thing that would prevent that was Great Britain and France declaring war against Russia, both countries knew they couldn’t beat both them of Russia and Germany fighting on the same side.

In the winter of 1939 - that is, the winter of 1939-40 - Hitler did NOT invade any countries beyond Poland, but the Soviet Union did attack Finland. Hitler didn't attack another country until April 194 when the Nazis overran Denmark and Norway.
