In 1938 upon returning to England after singing a peace agreement with Hitler, Neville Chamberlin famously said that this was "peace for our time". Just one year later, England would be declaring war on Germany after their invasion of Poland. How did this agreement with Hitler that he had no more plans for territorial gain end up in the biggest and bloodiest conflict in human history?

I acquired the whole (I hope!) series. Because, not being perfect, is a *cap'n Flint ship's worth* of facts&info.

2:53 If Ol' Neville was so proud of his pact with Hitler, the least he could have done was scrounge around for some folder to put it in. The fool was lucky the wind didn't snatch it from his hands and land it in a puddle...

Great series - however the Hollywood writers certainly knew exactly what was happening in the Moscow show trials, they wouldn't have put the line in if they did not. This notion people didn't know is convenient for those that went along with Hitler and also a lie.

Like, I like the facts and presentation, but the music is too fast and loud. Am I old old? I’m not like a senior yet. 😅😢

The Germans and Hungarians on the wrong side of the new borders were treated like dirt. Much of the Versailles, St Germain and Trianon stupidity goes back to French resentment of 1815.

The game of pretext began to fail in Sept 38 and fell asunder in March 1939, meaning war on two fronts ultimately. Prague demolished the game, we dont need this documentary propaganda.
