Hitlers learns about the Devlin/Emmerich Stargate reboots

Me, I mean Hitler expressing his views on the new Stargate reboots.
I was a bit lazy with this one, but otherwise I would have repeated myself too much, but for anyone who doesn't know what these reboots mean the main reason I'm angry are thus:
1) The original Stargate movie is pretty mediocre, and the creators of that are returning to do the reboots - bad choice imo
2) These creators have repeatedly made fun of and disrespected the show, and have admitting to never seeing an episode. This means that it is very likely they will disregard the very rich mythology SG1/A/U built up over 17 season. Reboots usually reuse plots, characters, races etc - but this will ignore all of that.
3) After the disregard and disrespect Devlin and Emmerich have shown the show, they will now profit off the popularity it created. Whereas the people who made Stargate Stargate (Brad Wright, Jonathan Glassner, Robert C Cooper etc), have been pushed to the sidelines.

So, any chance of this still? Personally, I want a Stargate Atlantis reboot with Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett. Throw Ben Browder and Claudia Black in there for fun.... and Michael Shanks. Rachel Luttrell? ... would love to see Jason Momoa, but that ain’t happening.

If you're talking about the Devlin/Emmerich reboots specifically these are completely dead. Reviving Stargate in some form has got some chatter though, and Stargate Origins was released last year

I actually prefer the grey alien that's the last of his kind mysteriously "possessing" a human body as opposed to eel like being that wrap around the brain and spinal column. I'd love to see somekind of return of Ra as shown in the original movie. But... it is true that 1) stargate would be nowhere near as popular if sg-1 never existed 2) emmerich's a terrible director. Well... i actually like a lot of his movies. But the original stargate movie has a lot of potential that could blossom so much more if a more talented director was brought in. If not instead of emmerich, as a co-director. Mabye the Russo brothers. Or...Call me crazy but i'd like to see someone like Benicio del Toro... He's good at creating a really spine chilling world and he mixes CGI with practical effects. One of the last directors to do so in today's movies. While i liked emmerich's movies, like Godzilla and ID4, I like those like i like transformers movies - popcorn and action. Stargate is the opposite... It truly felt like another world and frankly I think Stargate and Pan's Labyrinth are actually quite similar in terms of goosebumps. We need more of THAT in Stargate and less popcorn action.

"A reboot is supposed to honour what came before" That's funny. Brad Wright & Jonathan Glassner didn't honour the original film when they created _SG-1_ , so why should Devlin & Emmerich do any differently? Truth be told, I think there's a very slim chance that the reboot will turn out that well. Not because it ignores the overrated _Stargate SG-1_ and its spinoffs, but because Emmerich's a mediocre director who hasn't made a truly good movie in decades.
