Kool and The Gang will always be one of the best bands in the universe to me. I grew up on their music in the 70's and played their music in bands back in Philly when I was a keyboard player in my brother's Body and Soul band and Steel Dagger band.

Yes, but without James JT Taylor...not the same level...With JT they was same like Earth wind and Fire with Maurice White... The best two instrumental bands with two fantastic singers.

I saw them last night at HardRock Hollywood. They were amazing. I remember them coming to Six Flags in my hometown Atlanta in the 1980s. The trombone player, guitarist, and drummer all showed out. If you didn't know better you would think all of the performers where there from day one

I love them before the get down it times. I loved songs like chocolate butter milk and who's gonna takes the weight just to name a few. This is one of the greatest groups of all time.

I can NEVER get enough of Kool & The Gang and my all-time favorite song "Summer Madness." I learned a lot about Robert "Kool" Bell from my interview with him earlier this year (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoqko6FthJeBoM0). Did you know that his bass guitar is in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture? K&TG is an iconic music group. They deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
