I just discovered your channel and wanted to say you thank you for providing this kind of content that explains Hitman speedruns. I don't think they are much on KZbin, especially on this game. Speedrunning hitman (I'm talking about any Hitman game in general) is just so fascinating. People are so creative and push the game to its limits everytime. All the ways you can manipulate the AI is just so huge. I don't understand people complaining about the AI being "unrealistic". AI in Hitman doesn't have to be "realistic" but coherent to its own universe and deeply manipulable. Because that's what Hitman is all about : Building up new strats to complete a mission, finding new ways to kill a target, and imagination is your only limit.

Hey Dave since you also use an Xbox - I have a problem whereby I have a hard time jumping ledges when there is a window in between. The prompt does not come up, or only comes up for a split second, and you almost always go thru the window if you spam A. Have you ever had this issue? It’s messed up so many runs for me. With the thumb sticks, you have to angle it a certain way for the prompt to even show up.

Yeah the climb through prompt will always come up first when you approach a window. Going up to the window as far as you can and continuing to press the stick will bring up the move past window prompt.

I just carry a Lockpick all the time. Can endlessly use it unlike using explosives to blow up doors.

It's not very fast, but sometimes a lockpick is useful.

@@emmyobinna you can also shoot the NPCs themselves so they panic. I find it more reliable than the ground near them.

6:35 FWIW, I managed to speed run that map in 56 seconds--no "SA" though as it requires a headshot to the target and a guard is in the room at the time...

An easy way to get that guard out of the way is while you're still on the ground on your way to climb the pipe, shoot through the window past the guard and hit the ceiling of the room their in. The guard will leave to investigate.

Climb the pipe? In this case, I don't even do that. I simply climb onto that elevated platform that encircles the map. It gives you just the right height clearance so that you can then land a headshot through the window... Once done, you head on out... :)
