Banana + sieker is a perfect combo for final missions where you search for prime suspect. Sieker the suspect, they will go to bathroom. As soon as they enter put a banana at the door, because assassin will follow and slip. You have a brief time window to drown your target and then pick up assassin's silenced gun + yeet out of the level. Edit: spelling.

NOTES: 1. If I were to make an honorable mention (or replace #10 right now), I would choose the Coin. The only reason the Freelancer coin doesn't make the list is how ludicrously expensive it is, and how easy it is to lose accidentally (not to mention that while the 'safehouse' version can be bought, the 'freelancer' version is pretty elusive). That said, the Coin is amazing at distracting NPCs and setting up accidents / bananas, bar none. It's a shame about the price and rarity, otherwise it would definitely rank higher for me, but as you see in our Deep Dive guides you can always find one in the map. 2. 2:29 A recommendation I would add is to go for the Rare DAK-X2 covert SMG in Ambrose Island. It is the best 'free' silenced SMG which can be obtained VERY EASILY, using just a banana: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqnMd6GejJWHZ6M 3. 5:11 The Hackl Leviathan is the best sniper rifle in Freelancer, edging out the Sieger Ghost (traditionally considered best in base game). Both share 5 traits: Subsonic, Marksman (slow down time), Gear Cost 2, 4x Zoom, Suppressed. However, Leviathan has an extra trait: Piercing. This lets it shoot through doors and do double kills. Second place, believe it or not, is still not the Sieger Ghost. The second best sniper is the Ornamental Sniper, it has the exact same traits as the Sieger Ghost, but only has a carrying cost of 1. This sniper unlocks at Freelancer Mastery 30. This is not to say other legendary sniper rifles are bad. They are excellent. (EDIT: Please see note by Deep Basu as a response to this comment for more) 4. 7:22 I wanted to point out that this Hackl Covert from Sgail, while it is easy to get, should not be your long term pistol. It is (at least for me) woefully inaccurate at times and the reticle is quite bad. However, there is almost zero risk in acquiring it, and if you are having a hard time getting other silenced pistols and Sgail is on your roster, then definitely go for it (guide in link). I strongly recommend the Assassin's pistol as a default early game pistol for reasons I mentioned. 5. As pointed out by adrian, shout out to driftwood log (from fishing), zero carry capacity and free briefcase 6. I must note to you that the Sieger Ghost + Ornamental Sniper have more damage than the Leviathan even though all 3 have subsonic, this is because the devs balanced the combat in Hitman 2 where they amped the damage of the Silverballer and Sieger 300 Ghost to kill any target with a headshot, and the Ghost to kill (almost) any target with a body shot, as well as being able to do certain things like cause cars to leak oil when shot, which the Leviathan takes multiple shots to do. If you know your target is going to hang around near a car, you should take the Sieger because one shot will cause the car alarm to start, drawing your target near, as well as the oil to start leaking, and then a second shot to ignite it, but with the Leviathan, it takes multiple, causing the target to panic and run away before the car explodes. Additionally, if you are playing on a very long range map with the Leviathan, one body shot will not kill the target, and only send them to the ground, this is inconsequential unless you have a very small time window to eliminate them and a lot of sight lines are blocked, such as on Haven Island. The Sieger will always kill the target in one shot. When I was mentioning that it kills almost any target with a body shot, the one exception is Dino Bosco on Sapienza, who requires a headshot to be instantly killed by the Sieger. For those wondering, this damage buff applies also to the Ruby Rude Sieger 300 and the Ornamental Sniper Rifle, as both are reskins of the Ghost. This damage buff the Silverballer and Ghost (and it's reskins) recieved does not extend to the Leviathan, Shortballer and Goldballer, making the Ghost and Silverballer the best weapons in the game for damage.

@@deepbasu9619 Thank you for this excellent explanation. This is a great point. In the base game my go to is the Sieger Ghost (I don't have the Leviathan in base game), and it is a tremendous shot. Truly excellent, well written out points. I have been using the Ornamental due to its ridiculous capacity of 1 and it is definitely now my go-to in Freelancer. Makes total sense as a reskin of the Ghost, the power is certainly felt with every shot. Definitely agree with your points and will highlight this in future. Thank you

My favorite piece of gear is also my favorite in other hitman game - Fiberwire (in any form). Being able to drag an enemy’s body with no delay has saved me multiple times

Hi there, thanks for watching. Agree, absolutely love the fiber wire. I really wanted to add some form of it here, but value wise, it was hard to fit in since it is exclusively a killing weapon (no distraction, no range, etc) and if push came to shove, 47 could kill with his hands. That said, it is an absolute Hitman classic, and I wish I could have added it on.

I did not know that the fish only costs 1. That's awesome! The ornamental sniper is also really strong at a cost of 1 and quick unpack. Less easy to replace unless you're sniper racks are otherwise full.

Im a bit late to the video but i havent even thought of how having a full supply box in your safehouse meant you can keep using certain items and get them back from supply crates until you explained them in the start of this video. Now thats helpful. Thanks

I prefer the baseball in the gym for my melee item over the fish as it spawns every time in house so no waiting on fishing and only weights 2 plus the knockout animation is faster so that's my go to

I've been using the wrench in the garage. It has the same weight as the baseball plus it's a wrench. Also the it's accessible before the gym and outside areas.

I prefer the HWK21 Pale Homemade Silencer over the assassin's pistol. It's just as accurate, but I think getting the money to buy it from a vendor is easier than getting to a showdown and taking out an assassin.

Good suggestions. Here's something I'd add. Always get a piece of driftwood when you're off on a mission. It'll give you a free briefcase with no weight penalty because the driftwood has no weight. Also, make a homemade bomb using a gunpowder and a fuse. It'll be an extremely versatile explosive that carries no weight penalty. Saved my bacon more than once.

Is there any good way to actually use the Wrench? I find myself never using it for anything other then a distraction but other items are better for that. It also shows up so often at the supplier that i have started to just buy it right away just so something else can spawn in its place. The same for the screwdriver however that has a more reliable use, most specifically on the China map to get inside the vents if u dont have the security dongles.

@@crimsongameshitman yeah but thats such a gamble if its gonne be of any use. Gas bottles are so rare that your unlikly to use it. I've used a wrench to start an oil fire by shooting a spark from them more often then creating a gas leak.

Hi Rodrigo, no unfortunately you will still lose any items you bring with you if you die in a mission. In addition, if it causes you to fail campaign, you will lose all the freelancer tools (in the three briefcases)

Hi there. Yes in base game, sieger ghost is also my go-to. But in freelancer, it's hands down hackl leviathan. Leviathan has one extra stat that ghost does not: piercing. Otherwise they have the same traits. The only annoying thing about leviathan for me personally is the red glaring scope when you use it, but function wise it is absolutely insane. 4x zoom, subsonic, piercing, slowdown time, suppressed and fast animation.

You're gonna be kicking yourself when the POs offered are Shuriken Kill, Icepick Kill, and Timed - Get Disguises, and you haven't bought a Shuriken or Icepick from a Supplier yet... 😂
