I'd personally say Cutscenes vary from game to game. In 1 it was short and detailed cutscenes, in 2 it was mostly still images. @@AverseWheat3 The thing is that Square Enix was no longer interested in investing in the series, which is also the reason for the split. And quite frankly, the outcome was probably the best one possible. IO became independent, got to keep the Hitman franchise, and because they were getting all the money from the sales, they were able to grow and develop the third one. Now they're working on a Bond game, which could put them way up there with the big AAA independent studios.

Thank God they removed the electrocution phone. For newcomers: the Electro Phone (or the most OP weapon ever) functioned the same as the explosive phone. Place it front of a target, they pick it up & you detonate it from anywhere in the map. The issue was - the explosive & flash phone both prevented easy 5 Star Ratings from their uses. Explosive kills normally resulted in discovery & the flash phone has to be used very particularly to kill a target in a moment of opportunity. The electrocution phone however counted as an accident kill. An accident kill. You could essentially break elusive targets as a concept. It meant a guaranteed accident kill. So for example Hokkaido on Mastery became an absolute joke. Explosive ball to the wall, drop phone for Yuma, level over.

I'm pretty sure he dropped a taser in a puddle, I'm like 90% that that's what actually killed Maelstrom, but he wasn't even holding the detonator in his hand when Maelstrom died so how did it trigger? Was it just going to zap the first person who walked in the puddle?
