If anyone's curious about the song's story, this is what I believe: The girl's father is a workaholic, which causes her mother to have an affair. Due to this, the girl's parents fight instead of caring for their child like they used to. The girl makes a doll so she wouldn't be lonely and goes outside to play (since Japan has low crime rates, it's common for children to be outside alone). However, she constantly becomes envious of other children playing with their parents. The girl begins to fantasize a perfect life with her family, so she makes a doll of her mother and father. As she plays in the park, she imagines that her father doll and girl doll are real (as seen when she only drops the mother doll before running off; the only character not in the scene), which prompts her to feel replaced. She grabs the photo of her family at the beach, when they used to be happy, and rides a subway to drown herself at that beach. As she loses consciousness, she has a fever dream of playing hide and seek with her parents. Her dream parents beckon her to the other side of the river (which could possibly mean death), however, before she crosses it, her real parents pull her out of the coma. Her real parents shower her with love, and as she glances to the corner of the room, she sees the girl she saw with her father earlier, only to realize it was her imagination when the girl turns back into a doll perched on the wall with the rest of her doll family.

Mimzy also the girl may be the result of her mothers affair. Notice the man who her mom had an affair with has blond hair but the doll girl has brown hair like her father. The doll is what the girl thinks she would look like if her father was her biological father.
@catcactus12347 жыл бұрын
Jade Kyo Jade Kyo Ah, yes, I've come across that theory quite often. However, I don't think it works because it leaves out small details and doesn't have any moral value in the end if that's the case. For example, why is her biological father never seen again if he's so important? In every photo we see, it's only her, her mother and blue-haired father. If this video was centered around the affair, the artist would've at least left more clues than a strand of hair. In the end, her biological father is no where to be around in the hospital, either. He couldn't of abandoned her mother because it clearly shows her mother getting ready for another date with him by putting on makeup outside the child's room when she's drawing. If something happened between them during that time, there would've been clues to imply this. Not to mention, what would the goal of the story be about if she was the result of an affair? In her photo of her, her blue-haired father and mother swimming at the beach, they all seem happy, so it couldn't of been about her step father accepting her since he already loves her, vice versa with her mother. It couldn't of been about being loved by her biological father since he's literally no where to be seen aside from one frame for the entire video. It's a rather irrelevant detail because I personally believe the story is about a neglected child wanting to be loved; the affair only contributed to why the parents always fought all the time instead of caring for their child. I think the hallucination was solely showing the effects of her negligence, not necessarily her imagining what it would be like if she were her step father's biological daughter because she wouldn't have any reason to care about it.

Patsy Olds Interesting. I think being a "bad kid" and lonely at the same time can go hand in hand. If you're neglected to a certain point, you begin to feel as though you're a bad person. Yes, I do think the doll represents her as a good kid, but it doesn't really disprove my theory as even if she thought of herself as that doll, it still drove her to think she was replaced which prompted her to commit suicide.

I think people's interpretation of the first few pictures is a bit wrong. "Lacking enthusiasm, pulling pranks Crying for nothing, anything that it would take For you to notice; no one's here with me" These lines all apply to the little girl. She feels neglected, and is trying to get attention.

It was great seeing alternate lyrics to this song, because Ive only been familiar with Juby Phonic's version. What I still can't figure out from either version is if the child is happy at the end or not. It seems like her attempted suicide shocked the parents enough to make them pay attention to her, (and maybe realise the error of their ways?) but I can't tell if the girl is OK or not...

Does someone else think that this song fits pretty much for child with seperated parents, too?
@hathatto11297 жыл бұрын
As a person who grew up with separeted prents I don't feel any connection with this song at all. I only lived with my mother, my father called about 3 times a year and I never felt lonely or jealous for kids, who had both their parents on their side.
@salvadarius47397 жыл бұрын
Hat Hatto I'd say it's different for every child. Some children take their parent's divorce badly - self harm, sometimes - and some don't. Sometimes divorcing can get messy - as shown in the fights between the mom and dad in this video - and that can affect how the child handles it. I'd say that there's not a definitive answer, more like it varies from child to child. I'm sure a lot of children feel jealous, especially if their parents split for reasons such as cheating or abuse, not to say you won't feel jealous if the childs' parents split for simpler reasons. In short, it really depends on the child.
@hathatto11297 жыл бұрын
True, it's very personal for everyone. Also it depends on how parents act. Mine tried to keep all the mess away from me, I know they had fights, but they ususally made sure that I wouldn't hear any of those. But some parent just try to get rid of their anger by blaming their kid. THat's horrible.

So this is what I think the song is about: The Mother had an affair on her husband due to him ignoring her and being addicted to work. The affair was mostly her trying to gain his attention, for him to realise he needs to pay more attention to her if he truly loves her. The result of that, was that the child's father was not her husbands, but the guy she had an affair with. So I'll go through this part by part: In the first part we witness a photo of them being happy and united, but this becomes destroyed. I believe, that as the girl has grown up, the father has become aware that the child isn't actually is. (facial features) When he discovers the affair, ofc this breaks the family apart. You can tell that the parents, in order to try hide the arguments and fighting from their daughter, detach themselves from her. They spend less time with her. The girl soon becomes aware that she is not her fathers child. She begins to blame herself for her parents arguments, fighting, and she also believes her parents don't love her. She hates herself, and this manifests in the form of a doll. She stitches a doll of the child she wants to be. The doll has her father's features, and not her blonde hair which was the hair colour of the guy the mother had an affair with. Why should I stay here? What purpose do I have? - Again, we are introduced to the self-hatred in how she is simply there to tear her family apart. She becomes alone, and merely has the doll to play with. Being with the doll makes her happy because the doll is the child her parents wanted her to be. She can pretend, even for a little while. But she is constantly reminded of families and their child being happy when she goes out. (she sees them) 'Im an unwanted child' - Again, we know that the parents hatred has led them to detach themselves from their child to try and hide the arguing from her. Yet we see how she has misinterpreted this as them arguing BECAUSE of her. She believes she is unwanted because they argue and have detached themselves from her. The part where she stitches her parents into dolls, and also draws the picture are important too. In the drawing, her hair colour is the same as her parents, yet again reinforcing the idea that she is aware she isn't her father's child and how she blames herself. She stitches her parents into dolls because that means they can be with the perfect child (the doll she created.) At 1:40, she sees the doll with her father. I believe that this is a projected image of her mind. There are two interpretations here: It is possible, that before she wasn't actually aware she was the child of an affair and that this is the point she realises her father isn't her real father. She has seen children before with their parents and they all share similar features. In other words, she hated herself because her parents were arguing about her, however it is only at this moment she realises that she is a child of an affair. The doll itself may have been created when she overheard her parents arguing about her 'hair colour being wrong' or 'eye colour being wrong' etc.. And of course, it suddenly clicks here. She drops the doll because she knows she can never be the perfect daughter, because she isn't biologically his daughter. Another is: She has a mirage which makes her realise that the father would be happier with the doll. She has seen all the parents and how happy they are with their child when they share similar features. She drops the doll, because again she realises she can never be the perfect daughter, because she isn't biologically his daughter. She decides that by killing herself, she will be able to stop her parents from fighting and make them happy. Remember, she blames herself for the hatred, and of course, she believes her parents will be happy if she is dead. The dream scene where she is playing hide and seek with the family is a dream where she is able to be happy with her family. Now, note how the parents grow from children to adult. In this scene, this could symbolise how before she saw her parents as other children. They couldn't be adults because they weren't her true parents. However, in her dream, she sees them grow to adults meaning that she can finally see them as parents. In the coma, we witness how she is torn between the dream world where she can be happy with the parents, and the parents where she believes she is unwanted. It is important to realise that she walks towards the dream world, she intended to die. However, her real parents save her. Her parents finally stopped detaching themselves from her, and reached out to her. The image of the doll becoming life-like is again referencing the child she desires to be to make her parents happily. Again, there are multiple interpretations for this ending. Is this a good ending? The life-like girl she desires to be returns to being a doll, something dead. It is possible, that now her parents have reached out to her and shown that they love her for who she is, she is able to love herself and accept herself as their daughter. From today until the end, we will play together again.' Her family, starting from today, will be able to be happy again, and play together with their child. From today is important as it highlights that the past, they were detached, yet now this has changed and they can be happy as a family However, a bad ending is also possible: From today until the end, we will play together again.' The dolls remain on the windowsill, always there. And these lyrics are highly important. From today until the end - Meaning that nothing has changed. We will play together again - Referencing the doll. In other words, she will constantly play with the image of the doll, unable to escape the perfect daughter her parents wanted her to be. Is the girl able to accept herself? And will her parents really change? I'll leave that up to you guys lol

her's my interpretation of the song a child has some parents that don't really seen to care about her, and so she goes out to play with her doll, who she she might see as a sibling who plays with her, and when she sees her dad with the girl, i think that's more of her realizing that her parents would prefer any other girl than her, and she tries to fool herself by pretending that she's playing with her parents, and in doing so she ends up walking off a cliff, she falls, and when her parents find her, she's passed out and when she wakes up they're screaming with joy and relief, the girl disappears and instead of the girl ,it's the family of dolls, and if you notice, the doll was holding the family, and when she disappears she lets the family have peace, and the girl finally feels loved

Then at some point she tries to die. Then she wakes up in a hospital and ear parents are crying. Is that it. At the end their all happy?
@kyo81007 жыл бұрын
RavenDark Gaming well it's all open to interpretation, my favourite version of it is that the mother cheated and the girl actually isn't the fathers, (if you see the other guy the mom is with he has blonde hair), the mom's cheating causes arguments and the girl's doll is what she things she should look like, a mix of both her parents. She tries to kill herself but is saved by someone, and as you can see her parents seem to realise that they've neglected their daughter.

I feel like it might be fun to share my theory so hers what I think the story is: The Father works a lot and begins to start neglecting his wife. The wife begins to have an affair with another man as you can see she's running with another man and laughing. I think because if you look they have the same hair color ( The man from the wife's affair and the daughter) I think the husband becomes aware the child isn't his but for the child's sake they remain together but the father distances himself from the family. When she goes to the park she sees mutiple families with their own kids. She realizes she looks nothing her parents. Which is where " I was a blind child." Or something like that is sung because she realizes it's not her actual family or at least her dad isn't her real dad. Realizing how blind and unwanted she was she decided to drown herself. As she walked into the water she saw her parents standing there happy. As she approaches them she's pulled away which I believe was her real dad. Because she could never live happily with her parents. When she awakes in the hospital I think she realizes that her family can never be restored.

Parce que ça : 0:57 ! En fait, si on retranscrit directement le texte en romanji, cela donne "ratata". Donc... Ben c'est marrant quoi !

Translate Please! I haven't been able to take French as a second language and I'm too lazy to go on google!

A Morse because at 0:57 it say : rattata rattata is a Pokemon and " à l'attaque ! " means " Attack !"

This just makes me think of what it's like to be an only child (I am an only child). If you have two busy parents you end up alone a lot and rely on other things to talk to like imaginary friends, or in the little girls case, a doll.

I just noticed this, but doesn't the girl seem to be closer to the father? He's the one holding her up in her dream, seeing him with the little girl is what causes her to run away, in the tag scene he's the one who reaches out and hugs her (the mother just stand very close to them) and before waking up he's also the one who stretches his arms out to her (the mother just stands and smiles) I don't really know what to interpret into this, but considering that the mother is cheating and the girl knows that, she might be more drawn to her father as she maybe wouldn't understand why her mother would cheat and thus maybe partly blames her or feels bad for her father?
