Since you've watched it far enough for this to not be a spoiler, Kyoraku is the third strongest captain of the 13. By far. Also, something else. You mentioned how strong Ichigo has to be to carry his sword. It actually isn't that heavy for him since the sword is actually part of his soul. To him, it weighs the same as any regular sword would.
