It's so great that this band finally get notice internationally. I've been waiting this moment for about 4 years.

Me too, Hitsujibungaku is one of my favorite japanese rock band. By the way, I think they replaced the drummer with a girl.

Finally! One of Japan's best kept secret! I follow them for years and have all their records, they're very special on the indie rock scene with a very unique tone, poetic but never bland, all three instruments and voices creating sonic landscapes ideal for dreaming on a rainy day of driving in the summertime (both tested and approved).

I love Moaka’s speaking voice as well as her singing voice. It’s so distinctive. Also I knew she was a punk girl because when she sings…she makes the riot girl snarl every now and again. Super cool band.. love from the USA…!

Spotify recommendations introduced me to this amazing band last week. Best recommendation in years. I've devoured their discography in the past few days and everything I've heard is incredible. Haven't been this excited about discovered a band in a long time.

I just discovered this band, their sound is amazing, why did I never hear of them?? I think they don't have enough difusion out of japan, I think, but I'm about to devour their discography too

@@WAPS500 Enjoy the listening journey! They’ve matured a lot in the past couple of years. Their early releases are good but I think they’ve found their voice with the 12 Hugs album and subsequent singles.

i love this interview inclusion! i think the decision to have hitsujibungaku make the ending theme for jjk is such a beautiful one. 'more than words' is unexpectedly down to earth, emotional, and underground for a mainstream shonen. it lends a fresh and more mature sound to jjk and has been a frequent play in my commutes to and from work. I'm very happy to see this translated interview for the international audience. thank you, Crunchyroll!

Love this band! Deep diving after their 1st Take vid came out. Definitely a hidden gem, about to be stars 👏 A&R Dept. PLEASE push them hard to non anime people! They're so radio friendly in any language! They've got every category to be worldwide successful! MTW is absolutely a hit single! This has to be the politest & quietest ASMR like interview/band answers questions ever! 💓 Hope they play international next year! 👍 Gakko is a novelty/fun act & they just broke big in the USA. This is actual depth & songwriting/performance talent! 100% X-over potential. Wish I'd discovered them earlier! Love that jangly reverb/echo Fender type guitar sound, driving when necessary, bass is tasteful yet very complex & drums are deceptively simple sounding but rock steady & understated. Vocals & Harmony are A+, haunting & beautiful + "head" voice/upper register. My current fave "on a constant loop" music discovery. Haven't been as pleasantly suprised since discovering Iri years ago. TY CR for the translated long form Q&A. Music transcends all languages.
