That new Continente is the one we shopped at during our stay. One of the things I enjoyed was the high protein yogurt in the individual portion. I believe it was 160g. or 180g. In Canada, ours are only 100g

Thanks Jeff, Elisa & André 🙂 Maracuja Brisa is my favourite Madeira soft drink & I informed a few people in Algarve about it as they'd never heard of it as Sumol was their soft drink of choice. Continente & Pingo Doce would both be my supermarkets of choice when in Portugal, although on the mainland I'd venture into Aldi & Lidl. Kinder is produced by Italian multinational confectionery company Ferrero by the way. I see so much plastic used in those products so how about this for an idea for a future vlog, recycling in Madeira? Regarding the house you briefly showed, would I be on the right track if I mentioned "Stay Classy"?! 😁 Have an amazing week & friends & see you next week Jeff 🤗

Hey Rue! Yeah we do a lot of recycling here, even in our house we have separate bins for everything, and yeah maybe it’s an idea let’s see ;) on the list it will go! Yes that house is in fact owned by Stay Classy and they have recently put it on the market. It’s so unique I’m quite sure many people will recognise it ;) See you next week bud!! 🤠

Awesome video. I think it would have been awesome if you took the camera into the grocery store for everyone to see. Because many things are different in the states. For example eggs and milk are refrigerated but in Portugal both those products are on regular shelves. I remember seeing whole chickens for sale in Madeira and the chickens feet were still attached but in America the feet are always removed. Oddly enough I do see that in America they sell packages of chicken feet sold separately. Keep doing what you’re doing. I love the videos.

Trás-os-Montes olive oil from NE Portugal is really great as well. In Madeira we love Continente never shopped at Pingo Doce tho. I take my “souvenir” Continente shopping bag with me on grocery shopping trips in USA. Love Brisa Maracujá. We are heading to Saõ Miguel island soon will certainly have lots of wine and the cheese!

Shopped in pingo on our stay in July got the lays bugles omg addictive is right😂. We loved the island so much we rebooked for July 25 and can’t wait. Great video definitely gonna try the Filipinos 😂. Oh and Cadbury dairy milk made in Ireland 🇮🇪 is the best because of our fresh milk.

Hi Jeff, I was some weeks absent on your channel and watch now afterwards your videos. In general I liked the idea of this specific food video, but for my taste it contains a bit too much processed food. I think it would be very interesting in a future video to see where you can buy the local organic stuff. The supermarket products on Madeira didn't convince me completely. I saw lack of or should I better say a limited amount of choice of some basics like cheeses and meat products. Only one example....I found something named Mortadella. It has the same name and somehow it looks a little like that, but it has nothing to do with real one!
