Congratulations on Compldting a First Chapter that wasfull of really valuable lessons for you both, and it has been great to see you develing so well with Liveaboard Bost Life. So it will be really nice to see what mistakes you have come to avoid with your next Sailboat, as I feel you won't be making the same mistake Sailing Beaver Channelmhas made with a massive leP backwards with thrir purchase of a much too classic Najad sub 40 foot, bery low hwadroom and narrow beamed Saolboat, which will be agony yo sail in the Tropics no air Con, bot even any fans, and not enough toom to house enough batteries to leep Gans going, and a severe narrow beam limir on the amount of Solar to top the batteries up, and no room for a Diesel Generator anyway. They got well and truly Suckered by the Gake "Blue Water Sailboat " ideolovy. Still, its a nice little boat for cooler climates, and they should get their mondy back when they sell it - fingers crossed. Their Beneteau Oceanis 40 is actually a Far better Blue Water Sailboat for Sailing the Tropics on, with Countless examples sailing every Ocean on the Planet confirming that. Yep, as a Classic Sailboat Sailor from when Classics qere Current Production, despite a few fundamental issues, mostly fixable with money, I'm a convert to the most recent Production Sailboats, and the benefits that they can offer- such as allowing disabled old fart me, able to keep kiving on a Sailboat. PS. Beware of thedabgerous pressures objectives such as Circumnavigations can dump on you and your boat. Sailing With Thomas and his Be Free Bavaria 55 for example, had Sails torn to Shreds on passage due to having run out of time on a Visa so he had to leave shelter. I ditched a Circumnavigation objective many years ago now, and replaced it with Destinations that I would really like to Visit, and concentrate my efforts into enjoying my journey to them. As a result, most Destinations I'd like to visit, are in the Atlantic, with some like Saudi Arabia being elsewhere. So wishing you good Destinatjon Choices, and Safe, enjoyable Voyages to them.
