What memory cards are you using and do they measure up to their packet specs?

Delkin Black 325GB, I've not run this type of test to confirm specs but other videos on KZbin have. It's worth noting that often smaller capacity cards have lower sustained write speeds than their larger capacity brethren. Temperature (low) and sustained write speeds are the criteria that Z8 users should look for. Great video Adrian.

I'm likely to switch to Delkin as the general experiences seem more consistent Peter. I agree wrt temp and sustained write speed. When I went for the Prograde 165GB card there were no reviews, the write speed seemed good and I have traditionally gone for multiple smaller cards as a part of my back up approach when travelling. Including temp adds more trade-offs. Luckily, my videos are relatively short so I can live with the temp issue at the moment👍

I have read that the ProGrade Cobalt 160 is not built the same way as the larger cards even though the specs are similar. I have the 160GB card, but also a couple of Angelbird cards as well. For my uses, I'm sure any of them will be sufficient. I rarely do any burst shooting.

I'm getting that feeling too. The card is OK for stills and bursts but with video I get a pretty consistent 'hot card' warning at 16-20 mins even with H.265 8K. The devil really is in the detail with 'high performance' cards.

Hello, Did you verify that your cards were authentic?

They we're bought from Prograde direct through Amazon which is the only way to buy them in the UK. I've reached out to Prograde twice now but no response yet.
