I've tried to use this option with my Z7 II but nothing changes at all. Basically it seems that some other camera setting has disabled this option. Really a bit disappointing because I would really like to be able to review the exposure data for the image.

I think I like the look of the auto HDR images more than the Active D Lighting images. The problem with ADL is that while it lightens shadows, it also lightens everything a bit, too.

For some reason, I don't have such a point. The Z6ii had a great feature - when a long exposure is made, the upper screen lights up. When I do long exposures at night, it is very convenient. I didn't find how to do it on the Z8.

High FPS (frames per second) and refresh rate (measured in Hz) are different concepts. FPS refers to how many times an image is captured or rendered each second, while the refresh rate indicates how often the display panel refreshes and updates the image it receives.

You could just carry an extra camera battery and a portable phone battery charger/booster that extends the life of your phone battery. But I would check that you did not accidently leave wifi on as that will drain a lot more power. I don't know much about Nikons but bluetooth gps tagging on its own shouldn't really use a noticeable amount of power. Someone did a back to back test with bluetooth GPS on/off (with a different camera) and found negligible difference both with camera and phone battery (start at 10.23): watch?v=4DC0U7fMSs0

I cannot set my shutter to mechanical with my lens 24-120 f4 S. Where as when I put on my 5o mm 1.8 it does allow me to choose mechanical shutter. I have. Z7 ii. Can you help please

its not to clear to me how or when the camera saves the settings for each bank. on my Z6 you save the settings to U1/2/3

This could be done better. The image should get smaller so you notice its not taking up the entire screen. Setting this alert to off by default is not good. I accidentally shot an entire kids dance studio session in crop mode and was so focused on everything else that i didnt think antthing of the tightness of the shots. Its a small studio. Got home and didnt realize it until I saw the resolution of the LR imports. I'm so bitter. An entire shoot at, what, 22px? Luckily I wasnt in crop mode on my Z6 lol
