This video is simple Baseball 101. You see players on hot streaks and are asked what they’re doing they never have something elegant and complicated to say. Most just say they keep it simple. When players are struggling I think the tendency is to over complicate things. This video was an excellent reminder to stop overthinking. Excellent video thank you!

Very helpful video, thank you. I have played a lot of Madden and Fifa and this is the first time I picked up MLB the Show. Boy was I off to a rough start when it came to hitting. In other games on "Rookie" difficulty you smash the CPU controlled teams but in MLB the Show I had a really tough time hitting consistently and much to my embarrassment ended up losing games on "Rookie" difficulty in Conquest mode. The hand-eye coordination is so much more challenging in this game. I guess its all about "practice makes perfect" :-)

I'm just starting to get the hang of hitting - on beginner. With the directional batting interface. Swinging for the fences is always highly satisfying, but I'm trying to get more of those nice centerfield hits.

Hey brotha awesome vid I’m definitely gonna try these tips out; two questions for yah if you’re willing to answer. 1) I seem to have a tendency to drop my PCI even when I start low in the zone, anything mental or drill wise I could do to correct this? 2)For some really odd reason I’ve got this terrible habit of pulling or pushing my PCI in the opposite direction as the ball, like I’ll be sitting high and in and but my pci will end up low and away even though I’m telling my brain to stay high and in 😅 lol Anything you could give me I would really appreciate thank you 🙏👌

I have the same problem, I strictly follow watching pitch patterns and what he throws most if I struggled with a pitch all game I remember it and what his “changeup pitch” was whether is a fastball inside to a low curve or a splitter as a changeup from something a little slower. I take it right to custom practice and find a pitcher who can use those. Make a list of pitchers you can easily find with pitches you want. Mental note or physical.. I practice that pitch for 30 mins to 1 hour a day usually and by the end of the week I’m crushing a significant amount more of that pitch. I hope this can help you too!
