Regarding BBCOR: We haven't heard of any plans for a 2024 Icon BBCOR - if anything it would be a repaint, but we don't expect to see that until sometime next year.

I never realized any baseball could get better than a good quality diamond baseball until an ex major leaguer handed us a bucket of MLB balls while we were playing home run derby about 12 years ago and those balls flew much farther than a good top quality high school diamond baseball. It was surprising.

these bats are like hitting with with a spring loaded bat. the metal is so thin it bounces off the bat . my brother has hit softballs 400 ft with the bat technology that exist today .

Those older XL1's Mako's relied solely on their mass for their durability. I swear some of those -5's felt even heavier than a -3 BBCOR

Kid swung orange meta last year, icon drop 8 is more balanced. I have weighed both fire and icon in drop 8, icon is 5-6grams lighter. We have swung icon, fire, catx comp/connect, Mach ai all back to back….icon is the best. In drop 8 seems to be pretty durable too. The one we demoed has prolly 250-300 hits from my kid and 2 of his friends themselves off a machine.

I’ve been hitting my 2024 Icon this week and breaking it in. I tested it against my hype fire both 31-5s. Identical hit trax readings but the hype went 16 ft further. 🤷🏽‍♂️

My son who is 12 cracked his 31-5 after 1 tourney. Zero hits off a hack attack machine. Just me throwing about 100 BP pitches to him. Bat had less than 200 swings on it.

The b5 is really good slightly endloaded a slightly smaller sweet spot then the maxum and if you catch the barrel that ball definitely moves quick

@baseballbarbros My boy in 13U broke 2 of the old green CF bats, then he broke two more "The goods" BBCOR since then. Something has to give brother, gotta put more pressure on these companies to produce bats with pop that wont break. You know they can....$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah those are definitely 2 of the more infamous durability bats. In BBCOR, there’s no excuse for poor durability. But in USSSA, it’s almost a necessity for top-performance unfortunately
