My dad had the synergy extended and loved it for the whip like it did but the stiff handle while I loved the flex and loved it for the stiff handle and the feel. Right now I am looking for a asa or usssa bat that will be a current version of my silver Evo ax from demarini. And suggestions.

The Easton Double Barrel USA/ASA or more commonly known as.. "The bat everyone loves to hate" or "The perfect bat for hitting the ball 299 feet or less" or "Dude I think your bat is broken" or "Did you get that out of a cereal box?" I strongly recommend this bat to any scrappy base hit guy, I LOVE mine and bat an easy 750+ with it. Put 150 swings on it before you pour gasoline on it and make smores.

Problem is they tend to fail compression within the first 100 or so swings...every ASA tourney I've been to over the last few years any of them not NIW are failed out at the door

I love this bat! Got it about a month ago and my whole intramural team uses it. Hit some absolute daddy hacks with it but also really good at placing a ball when you need to. This is my only ASA bat I have and it honestly doesn't disappoint.

The Ghost Series for slowpitch is one of my favorite bats but definitely not for distance. Occasionally get a "woah" moment where I wish there was more pop. The sound is crazy. On a side note these do hit the Clincher balls very well. Anyways great and spot-on review! There are issues with compression on these as well. Will fall below the 750 quickly but performance doesn't change.

Mate, you’re taking me back to me 2013/14 Easton Ghost days. I hit my biggest ever home run with the grey Bryson Baker balanced. Can’t speak for the new tech but the older Easton stuff used to take FOREVER to break in. They were tanks when you got them there though. I had the dark grey ghost double barrel from 2019/2020 and that was very Jeckell and Hyde. I found ikr you said, the Ghosts were always good for the contact hitter. Laser line drives a plenty.

Fastpitch and slowpitch have the same regulation, but the tech is slightly different because slowpitch bats would be break faster in fastpitch. Fastpitch bats are lighter than slowpitch but have to handle higher collision speeds. The ball comes in roughly 65 mph with a 60 mph swing speed. That's almost 50% more force than a slowpitch collision. Also, the balls in fastpitch are 375 compression and .47 COR. This is higher than the 52 cor balls and fastpitch balls are hotter overall. They also have crazy seams that look like hair braids for ball movement that dig into the bat. I estimate that a fastpitch collision on the seams delivers roughly 5x the psi on a bat than a slowpitch collision. Compression regulations are not equal across ASA. Easton ghost has a compression cut off at 1050 whereas the louisville bats are cut off at 1400 to comply with bbs. Team USA has the whole list. Monsta bats hover between 950 and 1100

@@jorypple8536 I've noticed that fastpitch bats have thicker walls and asa fastpitch bats sometimes have restrictor rings in them. Companies do this because due to sales volume, they have the use the same shell for multiple bats and use various inner barrel tech to meet the needs of the sport and regulation. Otherwise they'd have to design and produce 4 or 5 different products when you can just get 1 or 2 and modify the inner tech

I've spoken to bat doctors about it and they've said that for a while, companies were actually making it easier to doctor bats, but with new regulation, it's become very strict. Of course bat doctors get hundreds of orders every day so it's still rampant

It's a great bat for attention! I think a lot of these bats you need to go up an ounce because their MOI isn't as low as a monsta and you really feel the difference with the lighter weights. Great video as always.

Here in Montreal, Canada we play with a Louisville Slugger 105LSS ball (0.47COR / 275lbs) and this bat and all the double barrel Ghost tech is very popular here with that ball !!!

Our experience with the Easton ASA stuff is that once they are hitting the ball really well they are failing compression and it tends to be within the first 150-200 swings...I saw the tester on the floor, wonder what it was at

I own the Easton 2022 Ghost ASA bat. It's pretty much the same specs. I found it only got hot after like 150-200 + hits. Have you tried the Easton 2022 asa Ghost as yet?

When I reviewed this bat I felt the exact same thing but I brought in a heavier 2022 easton salvo 27.5 and that thing after 150 swings really started to give me similar EV to my monsta bats

The bat isn't hot out of the wrap. Took me around 300 swings before it finally is hot. When it's hot the balls shoot of the bat. I really love it!

You have to break in the inner barrel on the Ghost tech. Once that happens, they are comparable to other ASA/USA.

The Easton synergy extended the red one and the synergy cnt flex the blue one not the red/blue flex .just the blue flex were good . I wish miken brought back the freak le , freak plus and the freak 98 tech but upgraded all 3 for a limited time. My goal in life is to own the freak le, freak plus from 2004 and the freak 98 at the same time because my dad owns the 98 and I want to own one my self

Different associations. ASA typically uses a softer ball than USSSA so the bats are made differently to handle the different composites.

Lmao. Bro I have the white ghost Mondo and gold DNA M2. So....... monsta instant gratification yes hotter. Ghost mondo after couple hundred swings no joke fire. Just give it time. By this point we are all geared towards monsta performance but the 750 on the mondo needs a few hundred swings. Night and day difference and you can use it in cold weather with out worries

Newer ASA Eastons are strange bats. They sound god awful, like a piece of PVC pipe hitting a rock. However, they seem to have pop. The 2018 Helmer ASA Border Battle bat is just such an example. Horrible feel and sound, but the ball rockets off it. I have no idea what the long term durability is, or how well they hold compression. Also, these bats are made for ONLY .52 300 balls. Using anything else will break them in a hurry.
