Y’all do a throwback bat demo. I have an Easton Synergy 2 that I’ve barely used since like 2005 in great condition, that’s what made me think about it. Worth Wicked, Miken Ultra II….I had a DeMarini in 2002 that seemed like one of the scariest bats I’ve hit a softball with. I don’t even know if this is possible to pull off haha. I love the channel, keep it up!

Well, the DB44 was great…while it lasted. Mine blew up last night during BP before a tourney. Prior to that it was hotter than donut grease. Testimony of how fragile the M5 tech is in comparison to the M2. Its just not there. (And for before anyone says it, it was 75 degrees and hitting .52/300 Hot Dots) If you are considering this bat, or any M5, buy the replacement plan.

With my work schedule I can only play in a local league here that allows metal bats on their approved bat list. Do you have a metal bat video? Is the demarini steel my best option? I have a 2020 steel but it’s a little too heavy at 30oz I think but it was all that was left …I’m 6’3” 215 but I wish I had the 28ozer. Should I swing my 30oz steel or a cheaper lighter bat?

Hey, I’m in Australia, beer league with mushy balls. No bat regulations. I’m currently swinging an old baseball bat. No slow pitch bats stocked in Australia, so I’m limited to Amazon and eBay. Can I get a recommendation on what to buy? After watching every 1 of your videos, I’m Leaning towards a 1piece Easton fireflex…. Bombs are the priority. Do I go something SSUSA, ASA, or USSSA? Also, kinda needs to be on Amazon unless you know a store that ships international.

I wish this review was longer. I’m really trying to love mine but can’t seem to love it yet. My dna legacy is my gamer and fav so far but I’m hoping once my db44 opens up I’ll start to love it too. You didn’t seem to get great performance either from what I saw lots of middle shots but not quite the bombs you have been getting with other bats. Hmm 🤔

The Demarini Mercy bats are what we used before they banned composite bats in Oklahoma high school softball. There was 90 pound girls hitting over 200’ with them and the more you hit with it the hotter it got. We use 44 cor 375 comp for slowpitch.

I know this is a dumb question, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out. Can somebody break down what the numbers mean for the balls? What's the difference between a 52 and 48 core? I want to buy a dozen balls for BP, what should I go with?

The core number denotes the relative hardness of the ball. 52s are softer than 48s that are softer than 44s, and so on. ASA/USA softball leagues primarily use 52s though I’ve seen some leagues use 47s. USSSA certified tournament and leagues almost exclusively use 44 core

COR stands for Coefficient of rebound. Basically how bouncy the ball is. Compression is the amount of pounds it takes to compress the ball a set amount. Compression measures the "hardness" and COR measures bounciness.

@@joerapo thank you professor. And @John Griffin, I forgot to say that you should get whichever ball your league plays, unless you don’t play leagues then I’d just say get 52s so you can keep your bats longer.

COR is a property of the ball called coefficient of restitution. Basically how bouncy a ball is. A .52 COR ball that hits a wall at 100 mph will rebound at 100×.52 = 52 mph. Compression is a measure of stiffness and how MUCH a ball will squish and rebound. The more the ball squishes, the more often it's COR rating shows up. Bats have their own COR and it's usually higher than the ball, like .6. That's why low compression is good on bats and high compression is good on balls. You want the bat with its higher COR to do the squish and rebounding, not the ball, so the less compression it has, the more it squishes and rebounds
