Makes me think of other Pokemon inspired hive fleets, prehaps hive fleet agron, a metal eating necron attacking fleet that prioritizes heavy armor and burrowing (it then uses said metals to enhance the durability of thier exoskeleton)

This is really cool!! The scheme is fantastic, and it’s loaded with good 40k world building and Easter eggs in equal measure. The sibling theory is really clever. Also, a ghost Pokémon inspired hive fleet focusing on fighting what are basically enemy psychic types, and dealing super effective damage to psykers, is hilarious.

I adore this video so much. I only recently really jumped into the army building part of the hobby thanks to a lucky find at a local going out of business sale. I got a large smattering of AoS and 40k pieces for fairly cheap, but as I built test models the Tyranids really stood out as my favorite. So thanks to your video I have started building developing lore of my fleet as I build then, making the process so much more enjoyable, and trying to figure out ways to explain how some of my kitbashes might function within the fleet.

This is really cool I have made my own lore for my tau sept but it’s nothing near this I really like the Colours of your hive fleet as well the black with the purple looks incredible. It’s very different to my tau that are orange white and black

Cool color scheme and great lore. I find lore helps an army's look really gel. How did you craft your lightning effects?

Freehand with reference is the key. The pattern was created with a pale version of the desired color, then refined with brighter layers, eventually going to a near white. Then the patterns were tinted with a diluted glaze of that color.

Well purposed lore and a great color scheme. How did you get the swords like that? I’ve yet to see a sword tutorial on painting lighting that doesn’t just vaguely amount to ‘paint lighting by just painting lighting’

Hehe, that's probably how I would describe the process too😂. Other than shape value matters, using the right brightness towards the center of the pattern. Also you want a darker surface so it pops
