Interesting detail: Before the laser beams stabilized, they were surrounded by teal and pink energy respectively. Teal and pink being the colors of the Aspects of Mind and Heart respectively. This could mean that this portal was built by a different cherub or cherub's. Perhaps pre-predomination siblings with access to a lot of quantum physics books and spare parts? Who knows but Hussie really?

Alternate theory? We know from Homestuck and Nanna's chat on the Serious Business chat system with all of Dad Egbert's businessmen that they had began their own SBURB session, so we know that there were other possible sessions going on at the same time of the Beta Kid's. With this in mind, might it be possible that Joey, Jude, Xefros and Dammek might escape to Earth at the end of Hiveswap and Hauntswitch and engage in their own session in 2009. Personally, I hope that I'm wrong about my own personal theory, because I only have a nihilistic view of SBURB after reading the SBURB Glitch FAQ, so I hope that the four will escape to Earth C using the Stargate theory. What do you think, OD? Might this group achieve immortality through SBURB, live their lives out happily on Earth C, or will they perish in a meteor storm? PS: the shining light of *DeMoCrAcY* . Also your intro sequences are getting a lot better

Barring more new worldbuilding elements being introduced, a SBURB session is the only other way I can think of for them to escape the apocalypses, yeah. I think it's pretty likely, though given the sheer size of the cast in Hiveswap, I kind of doubt all those characters will just be left to die. On a related note, I don't really think there's a chance they'll end up dying to meteors or anything. Homestuck's themes simply veer too optimistic for that--kids overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds to gain impossibly happy endings is basically Homestuck's bread and butter. I don't really suspect Hiveswap is gearing up to be much different. Also, thanks :) I owe this intro to a great and talented friend who is credited in the description.

Really hard to say! Maybe both, and everything in between? We don't really know how Sburb's timelines work, exactly, outside the context of Lord English's Alpha Timeline. And that seems to be where the kids would fall, since if they started a session they would no longer be in any reality controlled by LE. Unless some of his agents were to involve themselves, anyway. I've sorta suspected a "natural" sburb game would open up in the endgame and allow a variety of "viable" realities, both good and bad, so long as no time loops are broken. To account for all that player "choice" the Sprites and Skaia both seem to press for.

Highly unlikely. While I enjoy the concept, time shenanigans notwithstanding there could only be one existing game of Sgrub on Alternia, because unlike Beforus where it was in distribution on actual disks, on Alternia it was programmed solely by Sollux and dispersed within his friend group. There are plenty of creative ways I can think to circumvent that but I don't think them likely. I hope I'm proven wrong though because that idea sounds very enticing!

You're mostly saying things I've been telling people myself here, so I'm just going to throw notes I made as I was watching at you this time. "The horrific punishment for these wishes is already here." Of course he is. "(No, I'm not joking)" Thank you for clarifying that for the non-Homestucks in the audience. I want to say Betty Crocker is the most ridiculous thing in the comic, but it's got a lot of competition. It's up there, though. Also fuck yeah on the Stargate Refs. I've been pointing that out since I played the game. Hell I've been pointing it out since John kept dying and coming back Daniel Jackson-style whilst fighting an alien Chad with a sarcophagus in the comic, but the portal makes it kind of obvious. Especially since the original Stargate film debuted in 1994, and Joey and Jude have both been inches away from meeting exactly the same fate as poor Charlie O'Neil for most of their lives (thanks Pa). Goin' full ham with Jane = A. Claire, huh? I think you might have stretched a little far on this one. They don't really resemble each other, and Nannasprite makes it pretty clear that (Betaverse) Jane never saw (Betaverse) Jake again after he split with the dog. Not to mention that the age questions I have with Jake already (he'd have been about 70 when Joey was born) are signficantly worse if we're also talking about Joey and Jude's biological mother. Buuuuut I assume you have a video on this topic in the planning stages, so I won't detract from your other excellent ideas in this video.

Pretty interesting theory here. I can't believe I missed the obvious connection between the spiral sucker's allure and the key's hypnotic effect. And as for that escape plan, that is definitely plausible, depending on how things play out. Certainly seems like a brighter future than the otherwise certain death slated for them. It fits even more because in Neverending Story (book) at the end there was a portal between the Fantasiana and the Real World which was shaped like Auryn and implied to be the inside of the Auryn. The Cherub portal is shaped like Homestuck's Auryn and leads between the Real World and the fantasy world of Alternia. That's amazing I can't believe I never catched that!

To clarify as to my guess here: I think A. Claire is likely a clone of Nanna, likely made by the Batterwitch. As such, there would be two Janes on Beta Earth. Thanks for that video, man! I Start wondering. Why did portal have some barrier around it after Joey get send to Alternia? And... maybe I'm wrong, by I Remember there was something about Portal that it's started COUNTING DOWN. What it means? Well... There are two options for me: Good - Portal is good, advanced technology. But even the best of machines have some flaws. Portals Transports someone, and later needs time just to cool down. After that, it can be used Again. Bad - I Remember that on some website about HiveSwap there were mentioned "Doom for both Worlds" I don't remember where tho. I Think it was somewhere on steam. (I Could wrong - then Sorry). So, basically The Portal is a Giant Bomb. It's gonna Explode unless someone is going to stop it.

Ok, so we know that Doc Scratch seems to be helping our duo on Alternia; my question is, why would he, and subsequently LE, not know of the portal? My guess is a the two troll part of them (Gamzee, Bard of Rage and Equius, Heir of Void) are at play. Gamzee being a Bard of Rage implies he brings about the destruction of the knowledge of what must be done, and Equius being an Heir of Void means he brings about change with what he does not know. Of course, I'm not the best at theorizing. Just something that popped into my head.

What if Alternia’s session took place on July 12? It would add up as 12 trolls, 4 die, one bad troll dies and so on. That or it takes place on June 9th, as not only is it the 6th month, but if we count kanaya as dead that would leave 6 trolls, half of them dead and one based on duality in the very middle. Be for us probably would instead take place on March 4th, as there is four planets in the timeline and soon to be four sessions of sburb. Plus 6 trolls, 8 humans, a cherub and a carapacian take the journey together, adding up to the result of 4x4. It seems most plausible.

Hey! I love the vid, and it actually got me thinking about a whole lotta stuff. Can't wait for Act 2! One thing I gotta say tho; a friend of mine and I have been theorizing that the cherub portal, although unlikely, might also be able to manipulate time, as well as space, the two aspects our main cherubs are know to be masters in. This would mean that, instead of having to wait till 2009, the Hiveswap cast can do time shenanigans and figure out the best possible way to do things. I can't say I'm able to go much in depth into what this would cause but, what are your thoughts? *I really cannot wait for the new Act to release and explore even more of this amazing game*

I've been thinking time travel is fairly likely in Hiveswap, but short of one of these Timebound trollcall trolls having some seriously spectacular powers, I couldn't figure out how. Now that we are on the topic of theorizing tho (and you seem to be available) I would like your take on an idea I've been bouncing around since I finished Hiveswap; the universe this takes places in has some direct relation to the eventual face off between the SBURB kids and Caliborn. Now, first off, I haven't quite dove into all the theories around the internet about this topic, and as such I might be misinterpreting the events that unfolded. But, to my belief, when I finished Homestuck, it seemed as if the showdown between the kids and LE (the one presented in the Caliborn's masterpiece) took place after the new Earth in Universe C. I really had no back ups tho, so I just went with "it took place in an alternate Universe". However, now that I've heard you theorize about multiple portals in multiple places (and dates too, I suppose, now that we are assuming it can manipulate time in some way) the thought of the fight taking place after they claim their prize seems possible. I had given the multiple portals idea a thought, and now that I know they are based on the Stargates, this makes a lot of sense. So (I don't know if my main idea is being projected correctly here; I kinda am bad at words), what if, after Homestuck's Act 7, and the reclaiming of the new Universe and blah blah, the cast from Hiveswap have figured out ways to interact with the portals in a "professional" way (through the study of said artifacts), and have made their way to Universe C. With each other's help, they find a way to make a portal path that allows the SBURB kids to go fight Caliborn, and that's when the events in The Masterpiece go down. This whole thing might be tangled, but it is kinda late and my thoughts are getting scrambled. What do you think tho? I haven't seen all your vids *yet* (working on that atm), so I don't know if you have theorized about this before. Whats your take on it?

Also if we look at the lion metaphor. It is giving sight to the blind lion iterstingly enough. IT may not be merely just lord english though. one can say that cherubs in generaly are embodied by those two aspects. the wise lime blooded and the bllind red blooded. true there is similar coloration to his robs on the portals but the color scheme seems to be largely cherub related.

Sometimes I imagine a comic where Dirk, Dave, Karkat, and Aradia are connecting time loops together to see how everyone is related, and I imagine Aradia just coming to their HQ one day saying “HEY GUYS I FOUND SOME EVIDENCE RELATING TO THE HARLEY FAMILY!” And everyone asks what she has and she just picks up Joey and takes her inside and says “Jade has siblings!” XD

Jane is actually Jake’s sister in all universes (or at least related). By adoption in the Beta verse do to the fact that they were both adopted by Betty Crocker. In the Alpha verse their grandparents were in the same situation, so they are still related. Kind of like cousins but a generation in between (aka Dad Crocker).

Well, considering everyone died on B2 Earth until it was brought into the C universe, they probably are going to ignore the adoption laws considering that there can’t be laws if the people who made them can’t enforce them (and they’ll definitely ignore them if John informs them of how they were born).

I haven't watched Stargate but i do know that SPOILERS . . . . . it has a similar reveal at the end to that of the trolls creating Earth, in that there were different planets (or something, again I haven't really watched it) that represented the 12 zodiac signs, that ended up being featured in thier end world: Earth. Does this mean that Stargate had more inspiration for Homestuck than I'd originally realised? Am I going to have to actually watch it, gdi
