I preordered this APC and was not disappointed when it finally came. When lit, the screens in the tactical operations center are simply glorious (shoulda grabbed fresh batteries, man). Granted that the fixtures appear fragile, but I suppose they have to be kept in scale with the vehicle and the figures. The latches could have been sturdier, though. It’s definitely meant for static display and not for rough play.

Really neat copy of what is in the movie. Has lots of detail inside as well as outside. You can fit a boatload of figures in it as well. Also could hold weapons and has some cool lights on the front. Although it's pricey it would make a awesome display piece next to some aliens. Thanks as always Spot.

It was painted 'Brown Bess'. But this toy is painted to reflect how the film prop was lit.

Pretty sure Redding was one of the COOP marines you could be in the game Aliens: Colonial Marines when you had 3 players.

Looks like the figure you get with your APC is random. I got Cruz, I've seen other reviewers get Bella, and some like you got Redding.

Really impressive piece. I was on the fence a year ago due to the high price tag but I think Hiya might be planning to reissue this in the next few months so I may pick it up this time. The M557 USCM APC has always been a favorite sci-fi vehicle of mine and this does look great. Thanks for the review!

Interesting fact regarding the music that you mentioned during that scene: They were unable to finish the music composing for the film, so they re-used the music from Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan.

I'm pretty sure this and the figures are based off the video game which was based off the movie. Anyway I think it's gorgeous I'm going to get one. Thanks for the review I wish you had the batteries to show all the lights including all the multiple display screens.

I love it, but it needs to be Nato Green as per the movie, and I'd prefer more die-cast components, it's too plastic. Great model though. If this was Sideshow or HotToys, this would definitely be more die-cast, like their 1989 Batmobile. I suppose it would cost a LOT though.....
