0:47 he feels the largest because his cgi model was 800 feet in 2014 before half way into rendering they down scaled him so if your wondering why that's why because he was nearly 2 times bigger in 2014 then in any of the other movies afterwards

My literally ONLY gripe with the figure, is the teeth. The shape is different than promotional pictures, and oddly shaped

@@kaijucanuck4492 yeah, I had a type and mean to say paint instead of shape a second time. They were larger and sharper in the promotional images and they don’t really bother me. It’s more of a minor nitpick

The figure looks amazing. I love the paint they've done and the added articulation awesome! I think my only critique is the neck articulation. I think the gapping is a small backwards step for them but my biggest issue is the sculpted neck piece under the jaw. It not only breaks up the neck looking up but it also gives it a double chin look. I wish they didn't do that. Still super excited for it. I got rid of my shm and neca 2014 in anticipation for hiya and not regretting it one bit.

(1:10) I think the NECA 2019 figure is a step down compared to the 2014 figure (but thats just me). The eyes look more cartoonish compared to the 2014 figure, the dorsal plates are way to big compared to how they were in the actual movie, and overall it just looks like they re-worked the 2014 mold rather then getting the actual files from the 2019 movie. 🖥🔁🦖🛠🏪 (4:37) I find it funny that "interchangeable hands" are like the go to accessories for Hiya Godzilla figures. Like they couldn't add in anything else, granted I know the beam effect parts tend to be for the re-release/re-paints of the same figure but still it would be nice if they added something else for a change. 😏✊📦🧤😄

Happy New Year 🎉 I have the NECA 2014 Godzilla which is why I did not order the HIYA TOYS one. NECA's 2014 Gman fits perfectly to the HIYA figures. Only downside is the face but for a 2014 figure from NECA it looks better than all of SH MONSTERATS Godzilla Monsterverse figures haha

How is the durability on Hiya Toys Godzilla? Like how would they stand the test of time and battle.?

They are really solid. The only ones to be slightly worried about are those with the bendy wires, such as Skull Devil or Rodan.

Sweet! Thank God they aren't super fragile like SH where the limb s fall of really easy when I'm just moving the figure. Now I can get an articulated KiryuGoji that doesn't cost one of my kidneys

Mine came yesterday and I realized it wouldn't close it's mouth and it turned out that was because they painted the tongue onto where it connects, so it took a while to get it to move and to get the mouth to close

okay so guys let me explain the reason 2014 felt the biggest is because he was really only in one area the entire movie, so they made the cgi model for the city and used it almost the whole movie since its the same exact model the whole movie, there is no reason for them to change his size to fit like in gvk, godzilla and kong shrunk ALOT in scenes, especially during the boat fight or gxk, godzilla was like.. 80ft most of the movie oddly enough, while hes actually 400+ ft

While that may be a contributing factor, the primary reason that the 2014 Godzilla felt the largest out of the entirety of the monsterverse is purely down to cinematography. In 2014, they actively emphasised his enormous size and weight, so they had lots of low camera angles and made sure to make the kaiju slow as hell. They made every movement eminate a sense of scale and raw power. Then as the Monsterverse went on, the excellent cinematography was slowly abandoned, leading to the extremely sped up slop-fest that the Monsterverse has unfortunately become, like the scenes of Godzilla and Scylla moving like fighting game characters. Even Pacific Rim Kaiju and Jaegers have a greater sense of scale and power to them than the modern day Monsterverse.

@@doomboi789 personally i prefer the way they do it now, i absolutely love cinematic colors which is wild coming from me, and entirely colorblind person, and i dont really find the style goofy and un-serious. the ONE THING i find goofy iks that fact that back in 2014, every single roar, you knew exactly what it meant, all roars had meaning now they just.. roar for no absolute reason

The cinematography in the 2014 movie was also vastly different from the others. Gareth Edward’s has a knack for capturing scale very well.

@@DanDaMan8840 ooh yeah way different dont get me wrong its really great but i cannot pick if i like 2014, 2019, or 2024 more 2019 was my favorite, until i watched gxk again godzilla evolved is my favorite design in godzilla history after 1972.. oddly enough when i look at godzilla evolved whether its in a video game, in a trailer, in a movie, it makes me just feel happy, it makes me get a sense of dopamine by simply seeing the design thats the effect gxk has on me, and rests with me as the best godzilla movie ever but i still cant pick if i like 2014, 2019, or 2024 more oddly enough. but hey, 2014 is totally deserving of peoples favorites. Im impressed they did that good for a first movie. but thats normal, usually the first movie of a series is the best on, then in sequals it becomes wayyy too much and overdone something that i think things like star wars, conjuring, or even shows like rick and morty or young sheldon, never did the monsterverse sadly does overdo it now, but they slowly evolved to it. i think all the movies were "serious" up until 2021 thats when they started changing the scale to fit scenes better, that screws up the serious part of it, the number one goofy thing to me, the only one if u read this whole thing just to hear other peoples though, i respect it.

Something many people forget is that the size was heavily inconsistent the whole movie, he was made a bit taller for the Golden Gate Bridge scene, and especially in the end where he’s walking in the ocean. In that scene he would be around the size of Godzilla earth if not larger.

So I saw a review from someone for the new Yongary figure and let me just say be very wary when you get it, because it might be very disappointing. I ordered one and I’m already wondering if I should resale it in the future.

I find it weird for them to add red, some people probably don’t want blood in a Godzilla figure that isn’t meant to be bloody. It’s probably just poorly put on light brown. But hey, what do I know?
