I believe it is the first time hiya made a direct decline in quality between the first and second release of the same figure, up until now it was either better or on par with the original, this one just seems worse to me, still going to wait for the gxk mothra to HOPEFULLY have bendy wire wings, since after unboxing Rodan I can't live without it 😅

I agree this is less emerald version and more sapphire version, and a lot of body detail missing is sad and very noticeable.

I agree that a Mothra larva would have been a great accessory, especially since there really hasn’t been a 2019 Mothra larva action figure yet for some bizarre reason, not even for the movie monster series line.

I never got the neca, and this one is just beautiful. All the points you made are valid and good. I do wish they did some sort of highlights on the body to get that detail back, but the wings with light coming through are just gorgeous. Definitely glad I got it.

I have this one, it looks cool but i want a more movie accurate color Mothra. I don't like the paint on the wings of the original Mothra release so I hope Hiya makes a new mothra with GxK's colors
