It only took a month after seeing it at SDCC 2024 and HIYA TOYS GMK Godzilla 2001 is up for PRE ORDER! #godzilla

We're eating good as kaiju action figure collectors. So many options that it's insane.

YES!!! Already pre-ordered multiples the moment I saw it! This version is easily my second favorite right after Minus-One. Also looking forward to this being my first Hiya Godzilla. SH Monsterarts, while looking fantastic, hasn't been "all that" as far as quality construction is concerned. Now, if Hiya will just do a Minus-One fig, all will be right with the world!

@Star-qc4br that would be an instant buy! And they've been constant on the pricing for godzillas being around $50. The Bootleg shma Minus One is popping up for that, but I'm patient enough to save that for the possibility of a Hiya version.

@@billybeigecustoms SAME! I've got a couple of the SHM Minus-1s but, thinking of selling them. They're great to look at but, not so much in handling them. Very "finicky"! I do LOVE the GMK version, though! Counting on it to tide me over until Hiya gets around to Minus-One...

GMKGoji isn't my favorite iteration of the character, but this looks like by FAR their best executed Godzilla figure, and that's saying a lot. The proportions, the details, the suit accuracy, the seamlessness of the joints. If the real figure is as good as these pictures make it look, it might be one of the best Goji figures produced. I WISH they would make a Goji that's like 10" - 15" tall. My biggest complaint with Godzilla figures across the board is that they're all too small. The only company that really does big Godzilla figures is X-Plus, and they're just statues and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. The one Mezco did looks nice, but is just not worth the price tag. If Hiya did a tall Goji figure at $150 or so I would be all in. As long as it's not Legendary Goji.

@LochNessHamster I never even thought of that but it would be amazing! If they did any of the suit Godzillas in 10"+ I'd be on board. And definitely out of any company right now, Hiya would deliver a solid, well articulated figure.

@@billybeigecustoms I just want Godzilla to tower over my other 1/12 and 7 inch figures. Not to scale, cause that would still be bigger than my house, but just big enough to look appropriately giant next to them. It's weird to me that there aren't more options for giant Godzilla figures. The first Godzilla figure I ever saw was that 12" one from the 80s that was in every day care and elementary school I'd ever been to. The one with the coked out eyes. Just gimme a modern version of that.
