You guys are the kings of comparisons! However I really wish you would’ve shown the neca burning Godzilla next to the hiya one, although you might’ve done that in the past I gotta check.

Thanks! Yes, I believe we reviewed the Burning Hiya, and did show it with the NECA and SHMA burning figures. Each one is quite distinct.

Great review! So you guys feel that the 2021 version has a better paint job over the 2024 version? I only ask for extra clarification because other reviewers felt the 2024 version has the best paint job out of all the “regular” Monsterverse Godzillas we’ve gotten so far. How are its joints and articulation? Does the 2024 version move as smoothly as the translucent atomic Godzilla does? That’s my favorite aspect of that figure, it’s less stiff than the previous versions and I was hoping that might become standard issue moving forward.

Joints and articulation are pretty much the same as previous Hiya releases. To loosen the stiffness, you can use a hairdryer around the figure for 1 - 2 minutes at a safe distance. It's a personal preference for the color scheme that we both ended up liking the 2021 Ver 2. Don't get me wrong, the 2024 Ver is still awesome and the paint job is light years ahead of the current SHMAMonsterVerse figures.

We looked at all three (2019, 2021 Updated, and 2024) under natural light, and decided we liked the 2021 Updated the most. But the 2024 is not very different from it.
