I can provide a little context on the Skull Devil. She was the queen of the Skull Crawlers and I believe the one who killed Kong's parents right after he was born

We technically don’t know that much about the skull devil’s backstory but we do know the number 10 aka the skull crawler from gvk is bigger then the skull devil but we also don’t know much about number 10 either i honestly hope we get to see more skull crawlers in the future and learn more about them

Jobby, at (I think) Sandiego Comic-Con, hiya showed a bunch of soon-to-come figures (if you didn’t know already). This included: - a un-painted GMK (with articulation) - a Millennium sculpt - a Heisei mecha sculpt - un-painted Shimo statue - some already revealed figures - AND A BEAUTIFUL KONG. I mean seriously, the head sculpt is perfect (though it doesn’t have a metal tooth, guess they’re saving it for a beast glove release). Also, please tell me you’ve seen the hiya Shimo… it’s amazing (the evolved Godzilla as well)

The Hiya Toys Heat Ray Godzilla does have a version where the plates come in blue translucent plastic. Also they've given Skull Island Kong an update withe joints, which includes a butterfly joint on the shoulders. Hiya will likely apply that on the upcoming GxK Kong

Finally getting my hands on my own Hiya figures, I am SO happy we not only have competition, but actually sccurste sculpts at affordable prices. Sadly missed out on the Skull Islans Skull devil, but am preordering GvK one. And I like the SHMA Kong 2021, but the size, solidity, and sculpt accuracy next to the price, make the Hiya EASILY the better choice. Just waiting for a BEAST Glove version.

Actually the skull crawlers were kinda. Concept since the 2009? I think, 2009 King Kong. They did some test footage with stop motion and you can see the skull crawler in the back ground
