Oh no question Hiyori has feelings for Zoro (as you've probably seen by now in later episodes), probably after seeing him take a scythe through the shoulder for them. Someone made a great point (elsewhere) that as a proud samurai's daughter, she could be looking for a strong samurai (or samurai-like man) to marry. I doubt she has that much money though, despite the Komurasaki act.

Orochi hired the assassin to kill Otoko because she laughed at him, Hiyori just happened to be protecting her, he still thinks she's dead

Technically Orochi sent Hitokiri Kamazo after Otoko-chan for laughing at him. Hiyori has just always been protective of her. ♥

Now you guys have reached upto oden I guess I can comment on it. My hypothesis is that she was looking at the way we drinks sake is the same way as Oden and after they show us a fire cauldron to show oden's end.

Hiyori was hiding her face... So orochi wont know who is protecting otoko. He still thinks komurasaki is dead. Assassin is after otoko, who is being protected by an unknown person.

The story is getting juicier from here and on 😊 slow pacing but the reveal is top tier! Also Oda-sama just wanna nerf Zoro by wounding him its unacceptable 😤 the pathing is clear, first losing a sword and now laying on the bed wounded but its fine, Hyori is there to take care of him 🤪

Zoro always seems to wander into some kind of crazy situation. Oda giving him a terrible sense of direction made writing this sort of thing easier. If this were the Wheel of Time stories, he and Luffy for sure would be _ta'veren_. I always liked the way Robert Jordan used that explanation for how certain unlikely outcomes came about.

First, Orochi hired assassin to kills Otoko, because Komurasaki's death is her fault. Second, Why she tells Zoro the secret. The clue is, She said, "He might in the land of Wano now." Because She know Zoro's come from overseas, so perhaps Zoro and momonosuke come to Wano together.
